FC 24 Version 1.18 Patch Notes (FC 24 1.18)

EA FC 24 version 1.18 is rolling out on PS4, PC and Xbox One. According to the official FC 24 1.18 patch notes, the latest update adds UEFA EURO 2024 mode, new player items, changes and gameplay improvements. Apart from this, FC 24 patch 1.18 also includes stability fixes.

Previously, FC24 update 1.02 was released with minor tweaks and changes. Unfortunately, since the day one patch, players have experienced several issues with online gameplay. Today’s FC 24 version 1.18 will fix a few of these issues.

UEFA EURO 2024 MODE

Key Features

Provides an authentic UEFA EURO 2024 experience with real-life stadiums, broadcast packages, match ball, and the coveted trophy.
Offers official tournament mode with teams that will feature in the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament.
Allows players to rewrite history with custom tournaments using any European national team available in the game.
Enables players to lead their chosen nation as an individual player or a custom Avatar captain.
Includes training drills before matches to earn up to seven PlayStyles and enhance gameplay.
Offers online friendlies at the Olympiastadion Berlin, with cross-play available for players on the same platform generation.
Introduces the European Journey, a series of challenges themed around different ways to play UEFA EURO 2024, with rewards for completion.

Game Modes

Final, semi-final, and group-stage matches available across nine authentic stadiums.
‘Match of the Day’ fixture updated with every real-life tournament matchday up to the Final.
Official tournament mode with real-life teams participating in UEFA EURO 2024.
Custom tournaments with any European national team in the game.
Online friendlies against friends or CPU AI, using qualified teams or any European squad.

Player Experience

Play as an individual player or create a custom Avatar to captain your chosen team.
Control the whole national team or just your player character.
Complete training drills to earn up to seven PlayStyles and enhance gameplay.

FOOTBALL ULTIMATE TEAM

Festival of Football

Introduces Season 7, celebrating the international football window with themed content spanning the entire seasonal ladder.
Features live items that dynamically upgrade based on real-world performances and excitement from international tournaments.

Path to Glory

A new campaign where Path to Glory player items can upgrade based on their nation’s performance throughout the tournament.

Greats of the Game

Celebrates legendary ICON and Hero players whose items can upgrade based on the goals scored by their nation during the tournament.

New Loan Types

Introduces two new loan types alongside traditional Match Loans: Timed Loans and Global Loans.
Global Loans are available to all players simultaneously for a set period, expiring on July 18th.
Upon login during the Path to Glory campaign, players receive a Global Loan Path to Glory player item to boost their squad.

Match Loans

Traditional Match Loans remain unchanged.

Global Loans

Apply to all players at the same time, beginning and ending on predetermined dates.
Provide new squad building opportunities and themed content during international competitions.
First introduced in FC 24 to create an “international takeover” in FUT during the Festival of Football.

GAMEPLAY UPDATES

Introduces a new 4-star skill move called the “Double Touch Lane Change” for skillful dribbling.
Adds a new celebration inspired by Cole Palmer’s standout season, executable with his player model or unlockable in FUT Season 7.

MANAGER CAREER

Enhances Youth Prospects scouting and development.
Allows scouting of Youth Prospects with 90+ potential and seven PlayStyles.
Youth Academy prospects develop two PlayStyles+ when reaching 80 OVR and 90 OVR, the only way to have players with two PlayStyles+ in Manager Career.

CLUBS

Adds a permanent double XP multiplier for experience gained after matches in Clubs mode.
Accelerates Virtual Pro progression, unlocking extra slots and available PlayStyles faster.
Provides a faster progression path for new and returning players to catch up with friends.

STAR HEADS

Introduces 27 new player Star Heads with improved likenesses.
Includes Premier League players like Rodri, Sven Botman, Pedro Porro, and Eberechi Eze.
Star Heads become visible after a server release following the Festival of Football Update.

Title Update 15

The EA SPORTS FC 24 Festival of Football Update (Title Update #15) is now available for all platforms and includes a number of changes and additions, including:

Added The UEFA EURO 2024™ experience.
Added a new Skill Move and celebration.
27 new Star Heads.

Ultimate Team

Addressed the following issues:

Addressed instances of Loan Player matches exceeding 99 when combined with a duplicate Loan Player.

Gameplay

Made the following change:

Added the new Double Touch Lane Change Skill Move which can be performed while standing or jogging.

In certain situations where the Goalkeeper was rushing out, CPU AI controlled players would attempt to perform a chip shot and miss the net unintentionally.
In some stadiums, ball kids could miss their throws to the intended player.

Career Mode

Made the following changes:

Added Double-PlayStyles+ Player Items in the Youth Academy.

Addressed the following issues:

In Manager Career, Player Items on International Duty could not be removed from the Starting 11 or Substitutions.

General, Audio, and Visual

Made the following changes:

Added a new signature celebration.
Updated some ad boards, kits, and UI elements.

Addressed the following issues:

Addressed instances of players being able to Matchmake with different Matchmaking settings.
Addressed instances of instability issues that could have occurred.
Addressed instances of placeholder images.
Addressed instances of incorrect or placeholder text.

The following changes were added previously.

Ultimate Team Updates

New Additions:

94 new player items added to Ultimate Team, available after a squad update.

Fixes:

Corrected Centurion ICONs bios which sometimes showed Base ICON bios.
Fixed display issues in the News UI.
Resolved a problem where squads with Carlos Tévez as Manager couldn’t enter matches.

Gameplay Changes

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC Exclusive Adjustments:

Strikers and wide midfielders will be less aggressive in marking central attackers.
Reduced sideline pressure from the defensive team.
Lowered AI wingbacks’ tracking speed in 3 and 5 defender formations.

General Gameplay Changes:

Goalkeepers’ movement speed decreased when using Move Goalkeeper input. They’ll also hold their position briefly before returning to normal.
Controlled Sprint top speed slightly reduced.
Header shot accuracy significantly lowered for players with Power Header PlayStyles.
Finesse shot accuracy slightly reduced for players with Finesse PlayStyles.

Gameplay Issues Fixed:

Improved defender tracking after kick-offs.
Fixed incorrect foul calls due to defender’s leg going through the ball.
Addressed slide interceptions by players without the Intercept PlayStyles.
Corrected instances of the ball returning to the attacker after slide tackles.
Precision Ground Passes will now prioritize closer teammates.
Goalkeepers will now attempt to save penalty kicks aimed at the goal’s center.
Enhanced ball control logic when controlling high-speed balls with the head.
Refined referee decisions for red card advantage and offside calls after deflections.
Goalkeepers will now kick the ball with more power to avoid 6-second violations.
Fixed underpowered drop kicks by CPU AI goalkeepers.
Corrected physical tackle animation issues.
Addressed seal out occurrences after passing the ball.
Fixed incorrect yellow card scenes when a red card is given.

Clubs Update

Fix:

Resolved issues with Playoff matches not being counted correctly.

General Updates

Winter-themed effects like snow added to the main menu.
eEuros XI team added to Kick off and Online Friendlies, available after a squad update.
Diogo Jota’s Triangle celebration added.
Updated 102 player and 6 manager star heads, visible after a Server Release.
Updated UI elements, out-of-match scenes, kits, Career Mode activities, 2D portraits, banners, scarves, flags, and audio.

General Fixes:

Fixed various Skill Game issues affecting UI, scoring systems, and camera positioning.
Addressed stability issues.
[PlayStation 5 Only] Resolved unintentional enabling of adaptive triggers.
