Perk System Overhaul – Patch 1.3

Perk Economy Update

• Progression pacing improved for faster build completion

• Encourages experimentation with different combat strategies

• Perk unlocking and upgrading now better aligned with Firebreaker Rank progression

Perk Basics Recap

• Passive abilities with strategic or quirky effects (e.g., electric bullets, condition cleansing)

• Nearly 50 Perks available to collect and customize

Unlocking & Upgrading

• Earn Lost Assets and Research Samples during Jobs to unlock and upgrade Perks

• Each Perk has 3 upgrade tiers:

  • Level I – Basic effect

  • Level II – Stronger effect

  • Level III – Strongest effect + Resonance sharing

Resonance System Enhancements

• Level III Perks share effects with nearby teammates

• Resonance Shield recharges when close to at least one teammate; faster recharge with both nearby

• Aims to support cooperative play and reduce performance gaps

Loadout Flexibility

• Crisis Kit progression unlocks up to 9 Perk Slots

• Slot requirements by Perk level:

  • Level I – 1 slot

  • Level II – 2 slots

  • Level III – 3 slots

• Players can mix & match Perk levels for optimized or diverse builds

What’s Changing in Patch 1.3

• Some Perks will decrease in cost, others will increase

• Overall time to unlock all Perks remains similar

• Access to Resonance effects available earlier across more Perks

• Players are advised to unlock high-cost Perks now before the changes apply
