What is new in Fallout 76 patch 22?

Fallout 76 Season 2

NEW SEASON, BOARD, & REWARDS!

Added an all-new S.C.O.R.E. board, a few changes from Season 1 to cover, and a sneak peek at a few of the many exciting new rewards that are coming this Season.

INTRODUCING THE “ARMOR ACE” S.C.O.R.E.BOARD

When Season 2 arrives, it will bring the new “Armor Ace” S.C.O.R.E.board to Fallout 76. You’ll join Armor Ace and the Power Patrol in their march of freedom against the dreaded Subjugator and his army of Red Viper minions. You will unlock new rewards, like themed cosmetics, C.A.M.P. items, in-game currencies, Perk Card Packs, and more.

ADJUSTMENTS FOR SEASON 2

Made a few adjustments that you may want to keep in mind before you join the fight to crush the Red Vipers. First, rank-ups will be purchasable immediately, so those who would like to rank up using Atoms can do so the same day that the Season begins.

Next, we’re adding a number of last Season’s rewards, like Lunchboxes, the Ammo Converter, and Chicken Coop, among others, to Gold Bullion vendors. This will give players who missed these items during The Legendary Run another chance to snatch them up.

Additionally, we’re implementing some new Dailies and Weeklies, like Daily Ops themed Challenges, to offer you even more day-to-day variety as you progress through the Season. We’ve also been reading feedback from players who don’t have quite as much time to play each day as they would like.

Finally, Double S.C.O.R.E. events are also going to make a comeback. There will be several Double S.C.O.R.E. events throughout the Season, and each will offer you the ability to rake in twice as much S.C.O.R.E. from your Daily Challenges for a short time.

EXPLORE WITH ONE WASTELAND

One Wasteland allows enemy creature levels to adjust dynamically so that they better match each player they encounter. If multiple players all come across the same enemy at the same time, its level will simultaneously rise for the higher-level players and drop for the lower-level players.

DAILY OPS

Instanced, randomized, repeatable encounters called “Daily Ops” added to the game.

Every time you join a Daily Op you’re going to step into a different instanced location and receive objectives to complete that will differ depending on the Daily Op mode. Our first mode will be called “Uplink,” in which you will secure a series of uplinks that will help you track down and destroy creatures who threaten Appalachia. All the while, you will square off against enemies from a single faction, like Robots or Super Mutants, who sport deadly mutations that will make them uniquely challenging to take down. If you manage to complete the objectives and neutralize the threat, you will be rewarded with some loot, XP, and in-game currency for your efforts.

You will be able to take part in Daily Ops alone or in team of up to four players. You can also complete Daily Ops as often as you’d like, though certain rewards can only be achieved once per day. We’ll dig into the rewards a bit more in a moment. For now, let’s take a look at the ever-changing aspects of Daily Ops that will keep you on your toes.

A NEW CHALLENGE EVERY DAY

With Daily Ops, we’re aiming to bring more repeatable and challenging content to the game that you can jump into on a regular basis, which has been highly-requested by some of our more experienced players. To help achieve this, Daily Ops locations, enemies, and enemy mutations will be randomized every day, so that you have a fresh and exciting experience every time.

we’ve included more details about the different randomized elements you will encounter in Daily Ops:

  • Locations: The Burrows, The Burning Mine, Valley Galleria, or Vault 94
    • Additionally, with Update 22, you will now also be able to explore Vault 94 even when you’re not in a Daily Op.
  • Enemy Factions: Super Mutants, Blood Eagles, or Robots.
  • Enemy Mutations: Creatures will receive one of the following mutations in a given Daily Op, in addition to “Piercing Gaze,” which will apply during all “Uplink” Daily Ops:
    • Piercing Gaze: Enemies have greatly enhanced perception of players
    • Volatile: Enemies will explode on death
    • Active Camouflage: Enemies will be cloaked when not attacking
    • Resilient: Enemies can only be killed by a melee attack
    • Freezing Touch: Enemy attacks will freeze players
