Fallout 4 update 1.44 is available to download on PS4, PS5(1.000.008), PC and Xbox. According to the official FO4 update 1.44 patch notes, the latest update greatly expands Creations storage on Xbox and PlayStation, including support for up to 100 GB on Xbox Series X|S. Apart from this, Fallout 4 patch 1.44 also fixes account-related loading screen problems, PlayStation download crashes, library download failures, Enclave Remnants spawning issues, and incorrect “LOOKUP FAILED!” text appearing in the interface.

Storage Expansion Update Summary
- Creations storage capacity increased across Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
- Xbox Series X|S storage can now grow up to 100 GB.

- Corrected NPC spawning issues in Enclave Remnants and UI text errors.
Xbox
- Xbox One Creations storage increased to up to 15 GB.
- Xbox Series X|S Creations storage can now expand up to 100 GB.
- Installed Creations are removed on first launch after the update.
- Content must be downloaded again by restoring a saved load order through the Creations menu or by loading a save created after the Anniversary Edition launch on November 10, 2025.
PlayStation 5
- Creations storage increased to approximately 15 GB.
- Installed Creations remain available after the update.
- No additional player action is required.
PlayStation 4
- Creations storage increased to approximately 16 GB.
- Download size and installed size may differ because of platform storage behavior.
- Storage usage may appear larger than expected in Creations management menus.
- Platform storage partitioning may limit the number of large Creations that can be installed simultaneously.
Fixes and Improvements
- Fixed an issue that could cause an endless loading screen when signing into the Creations menu with an account linked to another platform account.
- Fixed a PlayStation crash that could occur when leaving to the main menu while a Creation was downloading.
- Fixed an issue where the “Download All Creations in My Library” option could fail and return players to the title screen.
- Fixed a PC issue where the Bunker Home Pack could incorrectly display a “not enough space” message despite sufficient storage.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent NPCs and objects from appearing correctly in the Enclave Remnants Creation under certain progression paths.
- Fixed a UI issue where “LOOKUP FAILED!” could appear instead of “Commonwealth” on the Pip-Boy map and during door transitions.
Previously, a major update 1.42 fixed major Creations save/load recognition issues, improves UI clarity across platforms, resolves multiple crashes and stability problems, and delivers better ultrawide, Steam Deck, and localization support. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing several issues. Today’s FO4 update 1.44 will fix a few of these issues.
