Expeditions Mudrunner Update 1.18 Patch Notes (Version 1.018)

Expeditions Mudrunner update 1.18 (version 1.018) is now available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Expeditions update 1.18 patch notes, the latest update introduces the Transylvanian Alps region with two new maps, featuring expeditions, contracts, and mysterious caves. Players gain access to three versatile trucks, new drones, and helpful specialists. Apart from this, Expeditions patch 1.18 also includes stability fixes.

Season Update Summary

  • New Region: Transylvanian Alps – 2 maps featuring 16 expeditions, 13 contracts, 8 tasks, and mysterious cave systems.
  • 3 New Trucks – Off-road, heavy-duty, and scout class vehicles added to your garage.
  • Drones & Specialists – Two utility drones and two game-enhancing specialists introduced.
  • Quality of Life Enhancements – UI upgrades, gear tweaks, better co-op, and improved vehicle handling.
  • Bug Fixes – Visuals, UI, drone behavior, and performance issues resolved across maps and vehicles.

New Content

New Region: Carpathian Mountains (Transylvanian Alps)

  • Added 2 maps featuring spring-thaw environments.

  • Includes:

    • 16 expeditions

  • Thomas Stevenson – Lowers drone and addon electricity use.

  • Henry McOir – Increases rewards and unlocks hidden treasures.

  • Gearboxes updated: Offroad & Fine-tune now support extra manual modes.

  • Radar now uses electricity.

  • Updated friction formula for better rock crawling realism.

  • Wheel drones can deliver items even when packed in trucks.

  • Pause menu accessible from HQ.

  • Controller support improved with winch targeting enhancements.

Co-op & Progression

  • Smoother multiplayer with bug fixes.

  • 3 new ping options in radial menu.

  • Guest players can progress and build using their or host’s resources.

  • Shared truck module building now more flexible.

Interface & Display

  • Base modules UI redesigned.

  • Improved object construction prompts.

  • Specialists selection UI enhanced.

  • Quest trucks marked with a new map icon.

  • Newly unlocked trucks labeled “New.”

  • Removed “Insufficient equipment” pop-up.

Map & Vehicle Behavior

  • “East Beskids” map performance enhanced.

  • Drones and some vehicles resist engine shutdown when flipped.

  • Torque modifiers now apply to all engines, affecting towing.

  • Drone winches rebalanced and file-separated.

  • All regions now accessible regardless of tutorial completion.

Bug Fixes

Visual & UI

  • Fixed low-res rock textures.

  • Fixed HUD UI disappearance when recovering with drone selected.

  • Resolved black mud particles and incorrect grass shadows.

  • Improved zoom/camera behavior after deploying multiple trucks.

  • Compass now visible during stage completion animation.

Gameplay Fixes

  • Corrected vehicle recovery inconsistencies.

  • Fixed wheel drone misbehavior during recovery.

  • Binoculars task icon display issue fixed.

  • Wheel drone spawning bug in scout carrier fixed.

  • Resolved teleportation issue for wheel drones near evac zones.

  • Inventory now accurately displays usable item quantities.

Economy & Deployment

  • Fixed deploy error from negative balance post vehicle sale.

  • Allowed wheel returns from expanded parking module.

Audio & FX

  • Added missing sounds and fixed graphical issues on Coconino and SlipRock Swamps.

  • Restored missing Easter Livery for Step 310E SE.

Previously, a minor update 1.03 added quality of life changes and improvements. Unfortunately, since the last update, players are experiencing several issues when trying to play the game. Today’s Expeditions version 1.018.000 is expected to fix a few of these issues.
