Europa Universalis 5 update 1.2.1 is rolling out on PC (Steam). According to the official Europa Universalis 5 patch notes, the latest update fxies a bug that prevented players from joining/hosting a game if one of the players owned Sacred Sites DLC and the other didn´t.

- Reworked the unlock/allowance gates for Legionaries and Cataphract units, so there aren’t any blind spots in which a Byzantine/Roman player can lose access to both of them at the same time, due to a combination of the tag and the “Latinitas vs Rōmanismós” Societal Value direction.

- Fix FPS drop when opening a location screen, especially a location not owned by the player.
The previous major update added 8 Aztec and 6 Two Sicilies advances, rewrites government and subject loyalty (centralization/decentralization), overhauls economy with a new base formula and prosperity decay, and refactors combat/transport and levy behavior. Since the last patch, players are facing a number of problems with the game.
Today’s Europa Universalis 5 patch 1.2.1 will fix a few of these issues.
