Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.49 details are now available for PC (Steam) players. According to the official Euro Truck Simulator 2 patch notes, the latest update adds new features, changes and improvements. Apart from this, ETS 2 patch 1.49 also includes stability fixes.
Previously, a major Euro Truck Simulator 2 update added quality-of-life changes and improvements. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing issues with the game. Today’s ets2 update 1.49 will fix a few of these issues.

ETS2 Update 1.49 Patch Notes Details – October 31, 2023
- Visual Enhancements:
- Moon: After numerous requests, the moon has been reintroduced to the night sky, adding an element of realism to the gameplay.
- Night Sky: Dynamic stars have been added that twinkle, providing a more authentic night-time experience.
- HDR Skyboxes: Skyboxes are now High Dynamic Range (HDR), resulting in richer colors in the skies.
- Weather Effects: Upgrades include visible lightning during thunderstorms and other noticeable changes in certain regions’ night sky.
- Moon: After numerous requests, the moon has been reintroduced to the night sky, adding an element of realism to the gameplay.
- PACCAR Technical Center:
- Located in Washington, this is a 1:1 recreation of the PACCAR Technical Center where renowned truck manufacturers, Kenworth and Peterbilt, innovate and develop.
- Although not immediately visible on the in-game map, the center holds an Easter egg for players to discover.
- Used Truck Dealers:
- A highly requested feature where players can purchase used trucks from the main menu.
- Used trucks are budget-friendly, but they come with mileage, wear, and a detailed breakdown of the damage.
- The damage and repair system has been overhauled with three types of damage: standard damage, parts wear, and permanent wear.
- Players have more control over vehicle maintenance and repair decisions.
- Keybind Modifiers:
- This feature allows players to bind actions using a combination of keys and modifiers, such as “Shift + L”.
- Additionally, players can bind actions to a short press or long press of a key.
- This feature is available for both keyboards and controllers.
