ESO Update 2.85 Patch Notes (ESO Console Update 50)

[Elder Scrolls Online] ESO update 2.85 is available to download on PS4, PC and Xbox One. According to the official ESO 2.85 patch notes, the latest Elder Scrolls Online’s update 50 introduces Challenge Difficulty, PvP Veterancy, Vengeance Campaigns, Class Mastery, a major Werewolf overhaul, new Thieves Guild and Sheogorath questlines, Dynamic Encounters, Guild Mail, and extensive quality-of-life improvements. ESO update 2.85 also includes permanent Vengeance Campaign which brings large-scale 900-player warfare, standardized character templates, role-based loadouts, and Veterancy progression, creating a more balanced and performance-focused PvP experience within Cyrodiil.

  • Multiple Thieves Guild quest blockers have fixes planned.
  • Veterancy UI errors are being resolved.
  • Several Werewolf audio, animation, icon, and passive issues remain under review.

Vengeance Campaign

  • Vengeance Campaign becomes a permanent Alliance War campaign with Update 50.
  • Campaigns run on a 30-day cycle.
  • Supports battles featuring up to 900 players.
  • Includes modified abilities, equipment setups, and campaign-specific perks.
  • Players can advance their Veterancy progression while participating.

How to Join

  • Open the Alliance War menu.
  • Select the Campaigns tab.
  • Choose Cyrodiil.
  • Select the Vengeance campaign.

Campaign Rules

  • Available to players between levels 10 and 50.
  • Uses a special ruleset designed to improve stability and performance.
  • All participants receive normalized character stats regardless of level.
  • Each class uses a customized set of abilities and equipment.
  • Champion Points are disabled.
  • Experience, Alliance Points, Gold, and Champion Point progress are retained after leaving.
  • Standard skill lines continue gaining experience while participating.
  • Items marked as Vengeance-exclusive cannot leave the campaign.
  • Other earned items remain available after exiting.

Character Templates and Loadouts

  • Characters are converted to predefined class templates when entering the campaign.
  • Templates include preset abilities, attributes, consumables, and gear.
  • Players receive a campaign-specific supply backpack.
  • Four unique loadouts are available.
  • Loadouts modify character stats to support different battlefield roles.

 

Previously, a major ESO update 40 added new features, various tweaks and changes. Unfortunately, players are reporting several problems with the game. Today’s ESO version 2.85 will solve a few of these problems.
