ESO Update 2.83 Patch Notes (ESO Console Update 1.019.001)

[Elder Scrolls Online] ESO update 2.83 is available to download on PS4, PS5, PC (11.3.5) and Xbox One. According to the official ESO 1.019.001 patch notes, the latest update removes crash sources, improved interface accuracy, and fixes Xbox performance issues. ESO update 2.83 also fixes core gameplay systems.

Combat and Abilities

• Item sets and passive bonuses tied to killing blows no longer trigger effects on non-lethal hits.
• Skill Scrolls can no longer be activated while transformed into creatures with unique skill bars.

Cyrodiil

• Campaign leaderboard updates and reward ranks now display correctly in the interface.
• Resolved a crash risk when earning Alliance Points inside Cyrodiil delves or Imperial City districts.

Scribing

• Fixed localization problem causing English text to appear when Russian or Simplified Chinese was selected.

Battlegrounds

• Group Finder listings during spotlight events now use the updated “Spotlights” label instead of the previous term.

General Fixes

• Addressed a crash possibility when viewing non-combat pets.
• Fixed a crash risk related to display settings when the saved monitor index was not connected to the graphics device.
• Add-on browser now correctly lists dependency requirements when previewing certain add-ons.

Xbox Specific Fixes

• Purchasing Crown Packs no longer carries a crash risk.
• Corrected issue where viewing a guild invitee’s gamer card displayed the guild leader instead.
• Resolved Gamepad UI error when opening the Gold Coast Bazaar.
• Reduced extended loading times after changing text language on the character select screen.

Known Issues

• Multi-monitor setups may launch the game on the wrong screen.
• Players may be dismounted on the Stormhaven bridge near Wayrest.
• Searing Claw III and IV tooltips currently appear identical.
• PS5 profile change option on login may disable the Play button.
• Scion of the Blood Matron quest may fail to progress; restarting the quest may help.

Previously, a major ESO update 40 added new features, various tweaks and changes. Unfortunately, players are reporting several problems with the game. Today’s ESO version 2.83 will solve a few of these problems.
