[Elder Scrolls Online] ESO update 2.61 is available to download on PS4, PS5(version 1.012.003), and Xbox One. According to the official ESO 2.61 patch notes, the latest update addresses bugs in Gold Road and Blackwood chapters, fixes Endeavors and Achievements for Lucent Citadel Trial, and resolves Scribing-related issues. Apart from this, ESO update 2.61 also includes various quest improvements and the removal of leftover Witches Festival decorations are included.

  • Anchorite’s Potency: Fixed issue where this Signature could trigger outside of combat.
  • Class Mastery: Fixed a rare crash issue with the Warden version, particularly with Traveling Knife.

  • Scholarium Tutorial: Zooming out now shows proper map and player location.

Quests

  • The Wing of the Gryphon:
    • New portal for quick access if leaving the Deadlands before stealing Cretia.
    • No competition with other players while looting items during task steps.
  • The Wing of the Dragon:
    • No competition with other players while looting items during task steps.

Blackwood Exploration & Itemization

  • Achievements:
    • Renamed to clarify they are earned in Blackwood:
      • “Defender of the Plane” to “Blackwood Portal Defender”.
      • “Portal Punisher” to “Blackwood Portal Punisher”.
      • “Multiplanar Devastator” to “Blackwood Portal Devastator”.

Dungeons & Group Content

  • Lucent Citadel Trial:
    • Endeavors for Trial completion now correctly complete when Lucent Citadel is defeated.
    • Interplanar Cohesion Achievement:
      • Now granted upon defeating Xoryn.
      • More time to reunite after defeating Baron Rize.
      • Achievement no longer fails if the knot holder moves away from group members.

Housing

  • Merryvine Estate: Fixed issue with music playing from High Isle instead of West Weald.

Monsters and NPCs

  • World Bosses:
    • Talon and Fang, as well as Stri the Fate-Eater, now count toward World Boss Endeavors.
    • Hessedaz uses Reconstruction ability less frequently.
    • Hessedaz’s Mirrorplasms no longer heal to full health when defeated.

Quests & Zones

  • General:
    • Correct number of Treasure Chests always present in Gold Road delves.
  • Mirrormoor Incursions: Properly award experience upon completion.
  • Public Dungeons:
    • Leftwheal Trading Post: Zenefrit no longer rapidly reappears after being defeated.
    • Silorn:
      • Reduced damage of Viikor Brazen Hoof’s Clobber ability.
      • Viikor Brazen Hoof always grants achievement progress when defeated.
      • Bloodmane no longer hangs out on its rock and always joins the encounter.
  • The Missing Cohort: Easier interaction with the candle on the windowsill in Rustwall Estate.

Base Game Improvements

  • Dungeons & Group Content:
    • Fixed unending loading screen issue when re-entering dungeons or trials after changing difficulty.
  • Infinite Archive: Mystery Scroll usable once per cycle again.

Events and Celebrations

  • Witches Festival: Continued removal of stray decorations.
