Dying Light The Beast update 1.006.003 is now available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official DL The Beast version 1.006.003 patch notes, the latest update introduces a full Fast Travel system, new configurable survival mechanics, and improved fairness in Restored Land encounters.
Today’s The Beast patch 1.006.003, the update also resolves several combat, quest progression, and leaderboard ranking issues. Overall stability and gameplay flow received targeted fixes.

Update 1.6.3 Highlights
- Fast Travel system introduced, allowing movement between completed safe zones and hubs.
- New Survival settings toggle added to Restored Land, now disabled by default.
- Enemy behavior and spawning adjusted to reduce unfair encounters in safe regions.
- Multiple quest, combat, and leaderboard accuracy issues resolved.
- Starter gear handling improved, including vendor resale support.
New Features and Systems
- Fast Travel feature added, accessible from completed safe zones or hubs.
- Travel requires interaction with the Castor Woods map available at eligible locations.
- New Survival settings toggle added for flashlight drain and hunger mechanics in Restored Land.
- Survival setting is now disabled by default and can be activated through the menu.

Gameplay and Balance Changes
- Survivors now spawn less frequently near infected when a region is considered safe in Restored Land.

- Resolved an issue where Suicider enemies sometimes failed to detonate after consecutive hits from certain weapons.
- Fixed Beast Mode attacks not consistently dealing damage to enemies during New Game Plus.
- Corrected a problem preventing pickup of the Infected Gallbladder quest item when the Consumables inventory was full.
- Fixed cases where low-threat areas could become restored after sleeping.
- Resolved an issue where Taurus Gas Station in the Villa area might not complete on the first visit.
- Corrected leaderboard position estimates displaying one rank lower than the actual result after updates.
- Fixed Virals and Volatiles clipping through vehicle roofs after falling.
- Resolved an issue causing duplicate starter gear rewards from Olivia during New Game Plus.
Items and Economy
- Starter gear received from Olivia can now be sold to vendors.
