- Using a PC or Mac, create a folder named “PS3” on a USB drive formatted as FAT32.
Inside that folder, create another folder named “UPDATE”. - Download the update file, and save it in the “UPDATE” folder you created in step 1.
Save the file with the file name “PS3UPDAT.PUP”. - Plug the USB device into your PS3 system and go to Settings > System Update > Update via Storage Media.
