New World open beta is now available for PC (Steam) players. We’re going to be providing you with a complete guide on how you can download play the game’s Open Beta on PC (Steam).
How to download New World for free?
The game devs are using a new feature called Steam Playtest. Interested players will be able to request access beginning on September 8 at 7:00AM PT (2:00PM UTC). To request access, follow these steps:
1. Head to theNew World Steam store page
2. Scroll down a bit and you will see “Join the New World Open Beta Playtest”
3. Click “Request Access”
After doing so, there can be a small delay for receiving access as the request is processed.
Unfortunately, this is the process that everyone must follow to access the Open Beta, even if you have preordered New World.
As with all new functionalities, we understand that this can be a slightly confusing and frustrating process. We are watching the feedback and learning for any future tests as they may happen. The number one thing to remember is to hang tight, access to Open Beta is on the way.
The Open Beta for New World will be starting off on Sep 10, 2021. The game will release on Sep 28, 2021.
