The Division 2 update 2.29 is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Division 2 TUY8S2 patch notes, the latest update introduces three Dark Zone variants, the Toxic PvE experience, the Caduceus Exotic Assault Rifle, Nurse’s Kneepads, new healing-focused gear sets, improved Exotic rewards, updated vendors, Classified Assignments, and a new Master Climax reward featuring the Underboss Exotic SMG. General Dark Zone Changes

• Entrance turrets deal increased direct Health Damage to hostile Agents to discourage door camping.
• Agents receive temporary invulnerability when entering the Dark Zone until they move or fire.
• Landmark Chests refresh faster across all Dark Zones.
• Dark Zone Keys now drop more frequently from Landmark Bosses and Named enemies.

Exotic Component Rewards

• PvP Dark Zone Landmark Chests now have a 40% Exotic Component drop chance.
• Toxic Dark Zone Landmark Chests now have a 25% drop chance.
• Balanced and Classic Dark Zone Landmark Bosses have improved drop rates:
  • Challenging Landmarks: 33%

Dark Zone Variants

High-Quality Munitions

• Granted after contributing Sample Cannisters.
• Provides all unlocked seasonal bonuses.
• Each reload consumes one stack until depleted.

Active Modifiers

• New Surge mechanic enhances Active Modifiers by consuming Sample Cannisters.
• Surged effects improve abilities and reduce Toxicity inside the Toxic Dark Zone.
• Modifiers can be upgraded for improved cooldowns, duration, and Surge costs.

Season Active Modifiers

• Invincible focuses on healing, armor repair, and damage reduction.
• Pneuma improves weapon swapping and stacking weapon bonuses.
• Vicarious enhances skill efficiency, damage, and ally support.

Passive Modifiers

• Nine Passive Modifiers are available across Gadgets, Resistances, and Offensive categories.
• Bonuses include Toxicity resistance, reduced Surge costs, increased munitions capacity, and enemy debuffs.

Hostile Countermeasures

• Folie à Deux increases enemy damage over time and can spread to nearby enemies.
• Plague Doctor regenerates health for nearby faction allies.
• Soporific applies Lethargy and can trigger Disorient effects.
• Several effects also increase Toxicity inside the Toxic Dark Zone.

New Exotic Weapon

• Caduceus Exotic Assault Rifle
  • Critical hits repair the user and nearby allies for 3% of damage dealt.

• 2 Pieces: +8% Skill Efficiency.
• 3 Pieces: +60% Repair Skills.
• 4 Pieces: Healing Skills gain 150% Healing Efficiency while Duration and Range are reduced by 90%.
• Healing allies grants 30% Hazard Protection for 10 seconds.
• Chest and Backpack pieces further enhance healing bonuses and reduce penalties.

New Brand Set: Edelweiss GPz

• 1 Piece: +18% Repair Skills.
• 2 Pieces: +20% Skill Haste.
• 3 Pieces: +8% Skill Efficiency.
• Introduces Named Chest “Benefactor” and Named Backpack “Momma Badger”.

New Named Weapons

• Insult to Injury and Brain Break feature Perfect Head Scratcher.
• Head Scratcher increases Amplified Damage against confused enemies and applies Confuse after multiple kills.

Master Climax Mission Rewards

• First Master completion guarantees the Underboss Exotic SMG.
• Higher difficulties improve drop chances.
• Underboss marks enemies and gains increased Amplified Damage based on stacked marks.

Escalation Updates

• Completion rewards now grant one Exotic Component for every Tier starting at Tier 5.
• Prototype targeted loot returns to Escalation chests.
• Tier 0 rewards now grant one token per player.
• Multiple Escalation mutators have been updated.

Prototype Gear Changes

• Early Augment upgrade costs have been reduced.
• Later upgrades cost more while total max investment remains unchanged.
• Augment reroll costs have been lowered and now cap at six Prototype Cores.

Retaliation

• Hyena Kill Squads can now ambush Agents during Retaliation activities.

Cosmetic and Store Updates

• Purple Flame outfit changes from purple to red when paired with the Phoenix Hunter Mask.
• Compatible masks can now be worn under veils.
• Textile pricing and bundle information are displayed more clearly.
• Select bundles can now be purchased with Premium Credits or Textiles.
• Bundle pricing adjusts based on owned items.

Classified Assignments

• Conspiracy Zone Hideout launches June 16.
• McMillan Reservoir Assault launches July 21.
• Assignments feature exploration, collectibles, and exclusive rewards.

Previously, a major Division 2 update 1.21 introduced The Division 2’s 10th Anniversary season, featuring Realism Mode, a grounded New York campaign with lethal combat and reduced UI.
