Disney Speedstorm 1.17 Patch Notes – October 23, 2023

Ranked Multiplayer: New Party Requirements

A tweak in the Ranked Multiplayer system targets the party system exploit. Disney Speedstorm now limits Racer Upgrade levels within a multiplayer party to a maximum difference of 10 levels. For instance, a level 1 Racer can only join a party with a Racer up to level 11. This change aims to improve matchmaking by creating more balanced teams.

Matchmaking Gets a Revamp

In the past, players with disparate skill and experience levels frequently found themselves in the same race. The new hotfix remedies this by more accurately matching players based on both their Upgrade Level and MPR League. New players should find the initial experience more welcoming, while veterans will face stiffer competition.

Nixing the Hop Exploit

Prior to the hotfix, players could extend the duration of certain speed-boosting skills by hopping continuously. This update puts an end to that loophole, eliminating the potential for unfair advantages.
