Diablo 4 Patch 1.057 Notes (Version 1.057.000)

Diablo 4 patch 1.057 is available to download on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles. According to the official Diablo 4 version 1.057 patch notes, the latest update separates legendary aspect caps for Ancestral and Non-Ancestral items, adjusts runeword offerings, and revamps Infernal Hordes with new chest mechanics and loot. Apart from this, today’s Diablo 4 update 1.057 also introduces balance changes for Sorcerers, crafting improvements, and bug fixes across all classes.

Balance Updates

All Classes
  • Legendary Aspects:
    • Separate cap values for Ancestral and Non-Ancestral items.
    • Maximum Aspect values now only found on Ancestral items.

Runewords

Magic Runes of Ritual
  • Cir (Cast same non-channeled skill 3 times): Offering gain increased from 25 → 50.
  • Cem (Evade): Offering gain increased from 50 → 75.
  • Moni (Cast after moving): Offering gain increased from 10 → 25. Interval increased to 0.25s.
  • Yax (Use healing potion): Offering gain increased from 100 → 200.
Rare Runes of Ritual
  • Noc (Hard CC enemy): Offering gain increased from 5 → 10.
  • Neo (Deal damage and take no damage for 5 secs): Time reduced to 2 seconds. Offering gain decreased from 300 → 200.
  • Poc (Every 5% resource spent): Offering gain increased from 2 → 5.
Runes of Invocation
  • Vex (+3 to all skills): Duration increased from 5 → 7 seconds.
  • Xan (Critical overpower): Offering requirement reduced from 900 → 800.
  • Gar (Gain Critical Strike chance up to 10 stacks): Offering gain increased.
  • Xal (Max HP): Duration increased from 4 → 6 seconds.
  • Qua (Movement speed, up to 5 stacks): Speed per stack increased from 6% → 7%.
  • Tec (Earthquake): Rune version damage increased from 82% → 280%.
  • Tun (Stun Grenades): Rune version damage increased from 20% → 325%.
  • Ton (Meteorites): Offering requirement reduced from 25 → 20. Rune version damage increased from 50% → 216%.
  • Tal (Pestilent Swarm): Rune version damage increased from 100% → 300%.

Sorcerer

Skills
  • Unstable Currents: Tooltip updated to say “unleashed.”
  • Lightning Spear: Maximum limit of 12 active Lightning Spears.
Passives
  • Enlightenment: No longer gains stacks from automatic casts. Can only occur every 0.2 seconds.
Legendary Aspects
  • Aspect of Splintering Energy: Critical damage scaling properly displayed. Can trigger every 0.2 seconds with additional damage for missed triggers.
  • Aspect of Elemental Constellation: Damage increased to 50-1050% from 50-70%.

Unique Items

  • The Oculus: Teleport Size affix replaced with Chance for Teleport to Deal Double Damage.
  • Flamescar: Incinerate Size affix replaced with Chance for Incinerate to Deal Double Damage.
  • Fractured Winterglass: Cooldown Reduction for Conjuration skills affix swapped with inherent All Resistances affix.

Paragon

  • Burning Instinct Legendary Node:
    • Cap increased from 80% → 90%.
    • Now requires 30 Intelligence for every 2% instead of 20.
  • Infernal Hordes:
    • Greater Chest of Equipment cost increased from 60 → 200.
    • Scrolls of Restoration added to loot table.
    • Chest of Materials now consumes all remaining Aether.
    • Item Chest removed.
    • Infernal Compasses now rare drops found only in Torment Difficulties.
    • Maximum revive count set to 4.

User Interface and Experience

  • New key-binding: Option to change from running to walking added.
  • Paragon Level: Now displays on character nameplates.
  • Gem and Rune management: Gems and Runes can be freely swapped without Jeweler. No Gold cost for unsocketing.

Crafting

  • Mythic Unique Item Crafting:
    • Random Mythic Unique: 2 Resplendent Sparks.
    • Specific Mythic Unique: Requires Resplendent Sparks + set of Runes.
  • Tempering:
    • New utility recipes for Incinerate Size, Meteor Size, and Firewall Size.
    • Lightning Spear double cast affix changed to Chance for Double Damage.

Barbarian

  • Fixed an issue where the Rumble legendary paragon node had an inaccurate tooltip.
  • Fixed an issue where the Brawl glyph didn’t properly grant its legendary bonus.
  • Fixed an issue where Barbed Carapace and Tough As Nails could double dip, which resulted in extreme amounts of Thorns being granted.

Druid

  • Fixed an issue where the Druid Legendary Nodes Devastation and Thunderstruck did not function.
  • Fixed an issue where the Lightning Storm Double damage tempering affix did not trigger off Nature’s Fury.
  • Fixed an issue where the fourth Shred Strike from Aspect of the Agile would always critically strike.
  • Fixed an issue where Poison Creeper could be re-cast via One with Nature each time the player adjusted Paragon Points, Skill Points, or changed equipment.
  • Fixed an issue where the Stormcrow aspect could make Ravens invisible.
  • Fixed an issue where the first attack of Shred didn’t hit the targeted enemy after dashing.

Necromancer

  • Fixed an issue where the Abyssal Glyph did not grant its bonus damage to non-physical attacks.

Rogue

  • Fixed an issue where stacks of Advanced Flurry could be lost after healing, evading, or another Skill was automatically cast from an Aspect or Unique item.
  • Fixed an issue where the poison cloud from the Aspect of Poisonous Clouds could trigger Lucky Hits.
  • Fixed an issue where the visual effect and the actual area of effect did not match for Scoundrel’s Kiss Rapid Fire casts.
  • Fixed an issue where the duration of Dance of Knives was shorter than intended.
  • Fixed an issue where Dance of Knives could become unable to be cast if the Skill was used repeatedly while no charges were available.

Sorcerer

  • Fixed an issue where certain Fire and Cold damage effects didn’t work properly with Enlightenment.
  • Fixed an issue where automatic Frozen Orb casts from Fractured Winterglass granted Enlightenment stacks.
  • Fixed an issue where the increased chance to spawn a familiar was not displayed in the Familiar description after acquiring the Enchantment Master legendary paragon node.
  • Fixed an issue where free Frozen Orb casts from the Enchantment effect could be triggered when casting Skills on cooldown while Channeling Incinerate.

User Interface and User Experience

  • Fixed an issue where larger numbers could become illegible in vendor and crafter menus.
  • Fixed an issue where the description for Exquisite Blood did not properly display how many would be used to summon Lord Zir.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue where the stealth effect for The Shroud of False Death wouldn’t be broken by Mercenaries or Minions dealing damage.
  • Fixed an issue where the Stealth effect for The Shroud of False Death could prevent a summoned boss from spawning.
  • Fixed an issue where summoning monsters at the beginning of a Legion event could be displaced when running into them with your Mount and using Spur.
  • Fixed an issue where progression could become blocked for The Eyes of the Enemy quest when trying to place Locran’s talisman.
  • Fixed an issue where the Guaranteed Critical Strike andOverpower from the Qax and Xan runes could be consumed by non-damaging abilities.
  • Fixed an issue where Legendary Aspects and Tempering Affixes that are not usable by your Class would occasionally function when using a Skill of another Class via Runewords. As part of this fix, Classes will no longer be able to equip items with Tempering or Legendary affixes that are Class-specific for another Class

Game Updates

Infernal Hordes

  • The Spoils of Gold chest is now reuseable.
  • The sound effects that play when picking up Burning Aether have been updated to be more prominent.
  • The Following Infernal Offerings have been updated to increase their rewards:
    • The Exalted Elite: Burning Aether amount increased from +1 to +2.
    • The Surging Elite: Burning Aether amount increased from +1 to +2.
    • The Unstoppable Elite: Burning Aether amount increased from +1 to +2.
    • The Burning Rain: end of wave Burning Aether increased from 1-3 to 3-9.

User Interface and User Experience

  • Trade chat is now separated by World Tier.
  • Players will now be notified when there is a new patch update available.
  • Party Leaders can now promote another Party member to be the new Leader.
  • Newly created characters are now always placed at the top of the character list.
  • Clan Name can now be changed.

Miscellaneous

  • All players will receive a cache of Legendary items with guaranteed Greater Affixes, to make up for the issue seen with patch 1.5.0 where players were not getting items with guaranteed Greater Affixes from multiple sources.
  • The Alchemist Control Tempering affix for Rogue has been re-enabled with the following adjustments:
    • The Flurry Size affix has been removed from Rogue Innovation and put into Alchemist Control.
    • The Ranks of Trick Attacks affix has been removed from Alchemist Control.
  • Extra visual effects have been added to the projectile trail for Corpse Bows to make it easier to track the projectile’s origin.

Bug Fixes

Accessibility

  • Fixed an issue where a non-functional setting for Read on Hover was present.
  • Fixed an issue where the Screen Reader announced Roman Numerals as letters.

User Interface and User Experience

  • Fixed an issue where character stats were inaccurate in town when certain items were equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where the tooltip for Infernal Compasses had two instances of “Compass Affixes”.
  • Fixed an issue where the name for Echo of Varshan displayed as Tormented Echo of Varshan.
  • Fixed an issue where an error could display when comparing an Ancestral Mythic Unique Item.
  • Fixed an issue where the Whisper icon for defeating the Blood Maiden overlapped the icon for the Accursed Ritual on the map.
  • Fixed an issue where the Icons for Infernal Offerings were inconsistent between the minimap and the world map within the Infernal Hordes.
  • Fixed an issue where Treasure Goblins in Helltide could leave behind a portal indefinitely.
  • Fixed an issue where the visual effect for poison could remain indefinitely on enemy corpses if they were killed while poisoned.
  • Fixed an issue where Thorns granted by the Thorns while Fortified Tempering Affix did not display in character stats.
  • Fixed an issue where players using a Controller would be sent to the Equipment inventory tab when using an Abyssal scroll.
  • Fixed an issue where the minimap was not accurate in certain Infernal Hordes instances.

Gameplay

Infernal Hordes

  • Fixed an issue where Hellborne did not spawn as frequently as intended when the Hellfire Infernal Offering was active.
  • Fixed an issue where the Stalking Devil Infernal Offering pedestal could appear again after being interacted with.
  • Fixed an issue where the Withered Wanderer Infernal Offering reduction to All Resistances did not actually reduce resistance.
  • Fixed an issue where Treasure Goblins spawned during an Infernal Hordes encounter could become indefinitely unkillable, preventing wave progression.
  • Fixed an issue in local co-op play where one player could collect the other player’s Burning Aether after that player died. Finders keepers!

Quests and Dungeons

  • Fixed an issue where the player could respawn on the other side of the objective while protecting Locran during the To The Edge of the Abyss quest.
  • Fixed an issue where monsters could endlessly spawn during the Seething Mountain quest.
  • Fixed an issue where the Istel Tornado encounter during The Rising Hells quest could persist indefinitely.
  • Fixed an issue where progression in the Sins of the Willing quest could be blocked if the player died during the ritual.
  • Fixed an issue where the second Spider Caller monster in Sirocco Caverns could fail to spawn, preventing progression.
  • Fixed an issue where Stormbane’s Wrath didn’t deal damage. (Not so wrathful after all.)
  • Fixed an issue where the Aspect of Inevitable Fate could appear on Chest armor through a Seasonal Questline reward.

General

  • Fixed an issue where the Tormented Echo version of the Beast in the Ice dropped the same amount of Pincushioned Dolls as the normal version.
  • Fixed an issue where the visual effects for Death Trap and Concealment were not properly visible for other players.
  • Fixed an issue where higher Ranks of Firewall did not have the blue flame effect.
  • Fixed an issue where Dungeon whispers did not appear in the Scouring Sands zone.
  • Fixed an issue where multiple Shade Totems could be spawned by swapping weapons when using the Umbracrux.
  • Fixed an issue where Baneful Hearts could be lost when using Accursed Altars after Helltide ended.
  • Fixed an issue where a small number of affixes couldn’t roll as a Greater Affix, such as the Blood Orbs restore essence affix on Blood Artisan’s Cuirass.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck when interacting with the World Tier statue in Kyovashad and using a Town Portal at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue where the Leave Dungeon ability couldn’t be used to leave Cellars.
  • Fixed an issue where Echo of Lilith sometimes couldn’t be Staggered during the first phase of the encounter.
  • Fixed an issue where Echo of Lilith could remain in the air indefinitely if Staggered immediately after landing.
  • Fixed an issue where Echo of Lilith would not progress to the second stage of the encounter in certain circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where Summoned Lightning Spear would not consume stacks of Crackling Energy or grant the damage increase bonus.
  • Fixed an issue where certain affixes were not affected by Masterworking for the following Unique Items.
    • The Oculus
    • Blue Rose
    • Storm’s Companion
  • Fixed an issue where the player couldn’t interact with various objects.
  • Fixed an issue where Blood Howl did not grant Stealth when Waxing Gibbous was equipped.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue where the corpses of Duriel and Grigoire did not despawn soon after dying.
  • Various UI, visual, stability, and performance improvements.

The following changes were added previously.

  • Fixed an issue where the Jewelry was more weighted in drops compared to other items.
  • Fixed an issue where Abyssal Scrolls would disappear from the Player’s inventory when leaving an Infernal Hordes instance.
  • Resolved a bug allowing unlimited re-rolls when Tempering certain Greater Affixes.
  • Fixed an exploit where excessive experience could be earned during boss encounters with the Umbracrux totem.
  • Sorcerers no longer receive Rogue-exclusive items from Season Journey chapter caches.
  • Corrected the Malignant Altar for Varshan to ensure it disappears upon Varshan’s spawn.
  • Various stability improvements implemented.

Previously, Diablo 4 patch 1.12 introduced new unique items and legendary aspects. Unfortunately, since the last patch 1.21, players are experiencing error codes and bugs. Today’s D4 update 1.057 will address a few of these issues.
