Deep Rock Galactic Survivor update 3 is available to download on PS4, PC, and PS5. According to the official Deep Rock Galactic Survivor patch notes, the latest update introduces new game modes, Masteries and Anomalies, alongside a variety of upgrades, achievements, and balance adjustments. Apart from this, today’s Deep Rock Galactic Survivor patch 3 includes new meta upgrades, artifacts, general improvements, and bug fixes.
Recently, Deep Rock Galactic update 1.10 added a fix to an ammo exploit for the Nishanka Boltshark, and a fix to wave music that was not playing during the Hacking Event in Industrial Sabotage missions. New Game Mode: Masteries
Weapon Masteries
- 42 Weapon Masteries unlock at level 12.
- 3-stage dives using only the specific weapon.
- Rewards permanent weapon upgrades, scaling with hazard level.
Class Mod Masteries
- Unlock after a Hazard 2 dive with a class mod.
- 5-stage dives with combat challenges and no healing.
- Permanent passive bonuses for class mods upon completion.
Biome Masteries
- Unlock after beating a biome on Hazard 3.
- 10-stage challenges.
- Permanent biome upgrades.
New Game Mode: Anomalies
- Optional mode for added challenge.
- Bloody Learner: Damage on level up, +100% XP gain, start with BLT Ration Pack.
- Hardcore: Start with 10% max HP, all upgrades and healing at 10%.
- Vanilla: No meta or mastery bonuses.
- No Movement: Move only for the first 5 and last 30 seconds of each stage.
New Limited Currency: Morkite Reactor Cores
- Found during Masteries and Anomalies.
- Used to unlock new meta upgrades and final stages of old upgrades.
- Previous meta currency refunded; players must earn new cores to unlock upgrades.
New Meta Upgrades
- Artifact Rerolls: Reroll artifacts from Supply Pod.
- Trigger Training: Increase fire rate.
- Catalyst Boost: Increase status effect damage.
- More Juice: Increase potency.
- Gold Cache: Increase starting gold.
- Nitra Cache: Increase starting nitra.
New Artifacts
- Multi Tool: Adjust reload speed based on equipped tags.
- Turbo Encabulator: Increase damage and reload speed per Overclock, reduce mining speed.
- Weapon Box: Equip random level 6 weapon with Overclock.
- Ancient Knowledge: Gain three levels instantly.
- Chemist Kit: Increase potency and status effect damage.
- Company Issued Magnet: Collect remaining XP at stage end.
- Piercing Projectiles: Increase pierce by 50%.
- DRG Coupons: 20% shop discount (excluding healing/rerolls).
- Energy Bar: Increase damage per player level, reduce max HP.
New Achievements
- 9 new artifacts tied to new milestones and Steam achievements.
- 4 new Steam achievements for completing Hazard 5 dives in each biome.
General Improvements
- Removed unlock requirements for Overclocks.
- Biome Goals can be completed on higher hazard levels.
- Added refund option on meta upgrade screen.
- Adjusted red vines in Hollow Bough to be shorter.
- Added camera shake slider and damage vignette toggle.
- Splash video is now skippable.
Performance
- Improved performance for mining large quantities of rock.
- Smoother mining in all biomes.
- General system performance enhancements.
Balance Adjustments
- Rebalanced Hazard levels.
- Class and Class Mod bonuses moved to Meta group for better artifact impact.
Weapon Adjustments
- LOK-1 Smart Rifle: Base damage reduced to 55.
- Tactical Leadbuster: Base damage reduced to 24, shot interval adjusted.
- Krakatoa Sentinel: Range and potency reduced.
- Spiral Boomerang Overclock: Range and reload speed adjusted.
- High Velocity Bullets Overclock: Added 10% damage increase.
- The Favorite Overclock: Changed Plasma Burster bonus to Explosion Radius.
- Shellback Elite: Various stats reduced.
- Clipboard of Grudges: Increased experience gain.
- XP Scanner: Finds experience more often.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed various weapon, artifact, and gameplay bugs.
- Optimized game performance with certain weapons and drones.
- Corrected milestone and achievement issues.
