Dead by Daylight PS5 Version 3.71 Patch Notes (DBD version 9.6.2)

Dead by Daylight update 3.71 (v9.6.2) restores The Pig’s Amanda’s Letter add-on while fixing gameplay, audio, perk, and map-related issues. Additionally, DBD patch 3.71 also includes several Killer interactions function improvements, collision problems were cleaned up across multiple maps, and platform stability improvements addressed PC crashes and UI errors.

DBD Update 9.6.2 Highlights

• The Pig’s Amanda’s Letter add-on has been restored.
• Multiple Killer audio problems were corrected, including issues affecting The Nightmare, The Dredge, and The Demogorgon.
• Several add-ons, perks, and token interactions were repaired for The Pig, The Executioner, and The Blight.
• Collision and accessibility problems were fixed in Midwich Elementary School and The Forgotten Ruins.
• PC crash issues tied to window resizing and incorrect controller icons were resolved.

• Fixed clipping issues affecting several Feng Min outfits during animations.
• Removed an unintended object visible on The Xenomorph’s head in the lobby.
• Fixed missing Survivor footstep VFX above The Xenomorph Tunnel and aura issues near the Control Station and Exit.
• Fixed The Pig’s Amanda’s Letter, Jigsaw’s Sketch, and Jigsaw’s Annotated Plan add-ons not correctly changing available Reverse Bear Traps.
• Fixed The Executioner’s Obsidian Goblet add-on preventing Spirit Fury from activating properly with ranged attacks.
• Fixed The Blight not losing Tokens after breaking pallets with 3 or fewer Tokens remaining.
• Fixed missing fatigue animations for The Nurse from the Survivor perspective.

Environment and Maps

• Fixed camera clipping issues inside assets in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.
• Fixed inaccessible hooks in Midwich Elementary School.
• Updated cage collision in The Forgotten Ruins to allow projectiles to pass through blocked gaps correctly.
• Fixed collision and vault issues in the astrology room of The Forgotten Ruins that blocked projectiles at certain angles.

Perks

• Fixed Phantom Fear activating even when the Killer was not visible.
• Fixed Nowhere to Hide failing to reveal dying Survivors.
• Fixed Leader remaining active after a Survivor was sacrificed.
• Fixed missing totem aura visuals when Hex: No One Escapes Death was active.

Platforms

• Fixed incorrect DualSense controller icons on PC.
• Fixed a PC crash that could occur when resizing the game window.
• Removed a visible Steam logo from the Player Stats Access page on Switch and Switch 2.

Previously, a big Dead by Daylight update 8.7.0 was released which added a new Killer (The Onryō) and a new survivor (Yoichi Asakawa). Unfortunately, players are facing various issues with the game. Today’s Dead by Daylight patch 3.71 will address a few of these issues.
