DAVE THE DIVER update 1.23 (version 1.023) is available to download on PS4, PC, Xbox and PS5. According to the official Dave the Diver 1.23 patch notes, the latest adds The “Ichiban’s Holiday” DLC with new story missions, a beat ’em up mode, karaoke rhythm game, expanded Bancho Sushi staff, and fresh recipes. Apart from this, Dave the Diver version 1.23 (1.023.000) also includes DualSense controller features for Windows, alongside bug fixes across gameplay, missions, and UI.

[Ichiban’s Holiday DLC Content]
1) New Story
- Ichiban and the Bartender arrive at Bancho Sushi! Team up with Ichiban and protect the Blue Hole!
- The mission starts on a specific night after completing Chapter 5.
2) Beat ‘Em Up Style Action
- Brand new action content has been added.
- Experience the thrill of action with Cobra and Ichiban!
- This segment can be played again through the ‘Smartphone’ app after completing the mission.
3) New Rhythm Game – ‘Karaoke’
- Enjoy Ichiban’s performance of [JUDGEMENT] in the new karaoke rhythm game!
- The karaoke rhythm game can be replayed through the ‘Smartphone’ app after completing the mission.
4) New Bancho Sushi Staff
- With Ichiban and the Bartender’s help, new applicants arrive at Bancho Sushi!
- The new staff members can be hired after completing a certain mission.
5) New Drinks & Dishes
- A ‘Cocktail Shaker’ has been added.
- New crops and new recipes have been added.

1) Controller
- Adaptive Triggers / Haptic Feedback / Integrated speaker features of the DualSense controller are now available on Windows.

1) Sea Exploration
- Fixed an issue where the depth inside the Sunkenship was significantly different from the outside
- Fixed an issue where seahorses would move through the terrain in certain areas
- Improved unnatural movement of some fish in certain situations
- Fixed an issue where certain sound effects would not stop playing when using the Salvage Drone in specific situations
- Fixed an issue where returning to the Boat during the ‘Gloves/Grab’ tutorial was possible, preventing any in-game progression
- Fixed an issue where used item boxes would respawn in certain situations.
- Fixed an issue where Waterproof Box buttons could not be interacted with when using a mouse
2) Sushi Restaurant
- Fixed an issue where the skill stats of certain staff members were not stacking
- Fixed an issue where Maki did not bring back the correct amount of ingredients when “Dispatched”
- Fixed an issue where the cats’ animation would sometimes stop when feeding them
- Fixed an issue where the ‘N’ icon for newly acquired ingredients would disappear on its own in certain situations
3) Farm
- Fixed an issue where under certain circumstances, Dave becomes unresponsive to controls after harvesting rice
- Fixed an issue where under certain circumstances, the Smartphone could not be closed at the Farm
- Fixed an issue where the Smartphone UI and Farm UI would overlap in certain circumstances
4) Missions
- Fixed an issue with certain missions where relocating to a different area was possible during the mission, preventing in-game progression
- [Chapter 5] Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, Dave could not be detected during the Infiltrate the Sea Blue Base mission
- Fixed an issue where, under certain circumstances, ‘game over’ during ‘A Dolphin’s Request’ mission would count as a ‘retry’
- [Chapter 4] Fixed an issue where certain dialogue would not be displayed during the John Watson boss fight
- Fixed an issue during the Sushi Bar tutorial where Cobra could be interacted with from outside the interaction radius
- Fixed incorrect placement of certain characters’ health bar during some missions
- Fixed an issue where certain mission dialogue was not displayed properly
- Improved some character animations for certain missions
5) Smartphone Apps
- The Anniversary mini-game ‘Evil Factory Demo’ will unlock after unlocking the Smartphone
- Improved an issue where some features of the Mail app did not work properly at the Fish Farm
6) Other
- Fixed a display issue with certain effects in Cobra Shop
- Fixed an issue with the Diver Box where the “hold to confirm” sound effect would play when pressing certain keys
- Improved incorrect display of certain icons
- Improved the display of some UI text
Since the last major update, players have been experiencing multiple issues and bugs. Hopefully, today’s DAVE THE DIVER update 1.21 addresses some of these issues. The upcoming Dave the Diver update 1.23 will fix the remaining issues.
