DAVE THE DIVER update 1.0.0.959 hotfix is rolling out on PC(Steam). According to the official DAVE THE DIVER patch notes, the latest update addresses issues with the Sushi Restaurant, Missions, Fish behavior, Underwater Exploration, Sea People Village, and adds other general improvements to gameplay, visuals, and sound.
Recently, a major DAVE THE DIVER update 1.0 added new chapters, areas, fish species, bosses, and mini-games. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the release. Today’s DAVE THE DIVER patch 1.0.0.959 will fix a few of these issues.

Dave The Diver Patch Notes – July 4, 2023
1) Sushi Restaurant
- Fixed an issue where the recipes used in the cooking competition were not obtained properly.
- Fixed an issue where the branch restaurant’s evening results were not displayed correctly.
- Fixed an issue where recipes that haven’t been researched yet were shown when transferring ingredients to the branch restaurant.
- Added icons to the Cooksta Rank-up condition display UI.
- Fixed an issue where players couldn’t go back to the boat after completing a VIP event.
2) Missions
- Fixed an issue where the screen remained black when entering Niamo’s temple during a specific mission.
- Fixed an issue where some missions in Chapter 7 were getting mixed up and players couldn’t progress.
- Fixed an intermittent issue where the Clione mission was not progressing properly and caused save errors.
- Adjusted the difficulty of the manatee mini-game.
- Fixed an issue where Dave’s hand size varied depending on the player’s screen resolution during the manatee mini-game.
- Fixed an issue where retrying after failing the Dr. Bacon boat chase didn’t work properly.
3) Fish
- Fixed an issue where fish would sometimes teleport.
- Fixed an issue where Dave was unable to transport Marbled Electric Rays with a salvage drone.
- Fixed an issue where Shortfin Makos appeared before the Storm Shark Party.
4) Underwater Exploration
- Fixed an issue where the camera behaved abnormally after using the harpoon.
5) Sea People Village
- Fixed an issue where the item list in the Sea People Village shop would jump to the top when selling owned items.
6) Other Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Cucumber Party could occur before unlocking the Vegetable Farm.
- Fixed some images in the Marinca that were displaying incorrectly.
- Dave can now move immediately after closing the Farm/Fish Farm shop.
- Made improvements to the sound volume and quality.
- Fixed the effects in certain cutscenes that were displaying incorrectly.
- Made some improvements to the effects and cutscenes.
