CSGO Update Details (CS GO Patch Notes) – August 18, 2023

Counter Strike Global Offensive (CS GO) update is available to download on PC. According to the official CSGO update patch notes, the latest update adds quality of life changes. Apart from this, the CS GO patch also includes stability fixes.

Previously, a major CSGO update 1.38.4.0 added Anubis and removed Dust II to Active Duty. Recently, a hotfix was also released. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues while playing the game. Today’s CS GO patch will fix a few of these issues. Check out more details below.

CS GO Update Patch Notes – August 18, 2023

Maps:

  • All maps previously shipped in the Limited Test are now available in casual and deathmatch matchmaking.
  • All maps and game modes previously shipped in the Limited Test are available for offline play.
  • Dropped bombs no longer sink in water.
  • The bullet penetration system has been reworked.
  • Bot takeover has been enabled where applicable.

Gameplay:

  • Competitive and Private Matchmaking are currently disabled in the Limited Test.
  • There have been minor adjustments to smoke cloud shapes.

Maps:

  • Italy has been added to Deathmatch and Casual game modes.
  • Anubis has been removed from Competitive mode.
  • Various bug fixes and tweaks have been made to Italy and Ancient maps.
  • Ancient has been added to Competitive mode.
  • Lighting adjustments have been made to Ancient.
  • Missing collision detection has been added to Ancient.

Miscellaneous:

  • More hostage variants have been added.
