Crimson Desert update 1.000.173 (v1.01.03) is now available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox. According to the official Crimson Desert version 1.000.173 patch notes, the latest update fixes an issue where some bosses would sometimes stop moving during combat. Apart from this, today’s Crimson Desert patch 1.000.173 also includes general stability and gameplay performance improvements.

Known Issues
- Quest progress may stop in “A Rumor Fueled by Greed” if the required item is obtained early and later lost or sold.
- Background visuals may flicker or blur when using upscaling with Ray Reconstruction.
- Character state may change unexpectedly under certain conditions.
- Captured criminals cannot be turned in while the player is also marked as wanted.
- NPC Trust gained during the Prologue may reset in specific situations.
- Game launch failure identified on ROG Xbox Ally X using the latest driver version. A rollback to the previous driver is recommended until a fix is released.
- Cloudcart summoning may fail.
- Some knowledge entries may require performing “Observation” twice to unlock.
- Fishing reel-in may not function correctly on Xbox when the inverted Y-axis setting is enabled.
- Blackstar’s Health may not fully recover if the Ultimate Weapon fight is retried or abandoned.
- Attempting to steal fruit from the rear of a stall may cause loss of control.
- Receiving damage while holding a tree may cause the character to become stuck.
- During the Gregor boss fight, simultaneous destruction of nearby objects and character death may prevent revival.
- Settings may fail to save after restoring defaults in certain situations.
- Next objectives may not auto-track during some quests.
- Rain effects may disappear or visuals may distort when using FSR4 upscaling in rainy environments.
Recently, Crimson Desert day 1 patch added a new Chapter 3 tutorial, improved quest progression and gameplay systems, enhanced skills and boss balance. Unfortunately, since the release, players have been facing a number of error codes and game crashing issues. Today’s Crimson Desert patch 1.000.173 will fix a few of these issues.
