Cosmoteer Starship Architect & Commander Patch 0.23.1 Notes – July 14, 2023

  • Crew will now use the airlock closest to their current location when exiting a ship, instead of the airlock closest to their destination.
  • Ship mirror settings are now saved individually for each ship.
  • Copying/pasting parts or loading blueprints from a saved ship design will now include all part settings, not just the modifiable ones in the ship designer.
  • A red “North” arrow is now displayed on the minimap when the camera is rotated, and clicking it will reset the camera rotation.
  • Added a confirmation popup when exiting the game from the title screen.
  • When plotting an in-system FTL jump, the camera will only zoom out as much as needed to show the possible jump destinations.
  • Doubled the speed at which Resource Collectors can move resources.
  • Crew will no longer leave their ship to pick up resources, salvage, construct, or repair if their ship is preparing for a hyper-jump.
  • The missing parts warning can now be disabled from the ship editor hamburger menu or the settings dialog.
  • New visual effects added for Ion Prism destruction.
  • The “No existing airlocks” warning will not be shown if the ship has no crew.
  • Railgun Launcher and Accelerator tooltips now mention that crew can’t walk from one side to the other.
  • Added three new Cabal ships: Callisto, Lyra, and Phaethon.
  • Added one new Fringe ship: Axlerod.
  • Miscellaneous updates made to other existing ships and stations.
  • Bugfix: Fixed a crash when attempting to target tractor beams on empty ship dots. It is no longer possible to target anything on empty ship dots.
  • Bugfix: Fixed a crash that occurred when a ship’s last part was destroyed while a tractor beam was targeting the whole ship.
  • Bugfix: NPC stations and ships no longer “steal” floating resources from the player to repair themselves. This issue mainly occurred during construction of the player’s ships when resources were temporarily floating outside.
  • Bugfix: Reconstructing Ion Beam Prisms using crew construction no longer causes them to forget their target prisms.
  • Bugfix: Area-of-effect weapons hitting the player’s own ships no longer damage neutral ships/stations, preventing the player from becoming wanted.
  • Bugfix: Resource Collectors that grabbed only a partial bundle of resources no longer leave the remaining resources outside after construction is finished.
  • Bugfix: Simultaneous in-system FTL jumps by multiple ships no longer cancel each other out.
  • Bugfix: Radar blips for player ships with only blueprints no longer extend the player’s sight range into the fog of war.
  • Bugfix: Restocking a ship’s resources in Creative Mode or Imagineer difficulty in Career now takes into account any in-transit deliveries.
  • Bugfix: It is now possible to transfer resources to your own ship even if the receiving ship has no crew.
  • Bugfix: Mining Lasers set to “fire at target” mode now correctly fire at parts or asteroid tiles marked for salvage/mining.
  • Bugfix: Railgun disconnection icons no longer appear very dark in blueprint mode. They are completely hidden in blueprint mode now.
  • Bugfix: Resource collection beams’ graphics no longer render beyond their start and end points.
  • Bugfix: Huge Thrusters now have a symmetrical center of mass, allowing perfectly symmetrical ship designs to fly straight.
  • Modding: The part debugger can now be opened by pressing Shift+Tilde+P.
