Cold War 1.24 Patch Notes (Season 6)

“Forsaken” — The Epic Conclusion to Black Ops Cold War Zombies (Launch)

Experience the epic conclusion to Black Ops Cold War Zombies, complete with a new Perk, a new Wonder Weapon, new Main Quest, and more.

Along with additional Zombies features—including a new Perk, Wonder Weapon, two additional Support Weapons, and more—“Forsaken” comes with a new set of Challenges and new in-game Intel to uncover.

New Perk & Perk Machines in “Forsaken”

After downing a bottle of PhD Slider, the tenth and final Zombies Perk in Black Ops Cold War, an Operator can take advantage of the following effect:

This Perk turns you into a living weapon that grows even more deadly as you invest Aetherium Crystals into its Skills Tiers, which feature full immunity to self-inflicted explosive damage, the ability to trigger an explosive payload after falling from a vertical distance, and more.

New Wonder Weapon — Discover the Chrysalax

The ultimate tool for splitting Zombies like wood, the Chrysalax can be discovered in “Forsaken” as part of its own quest, through completing Trials, or by trying your luck at the Mystery Box.

Forged in the Dark Aether, there is more to this Wonder Weapon than what appears on its surface, boasting the ability to convert between a powerful battle axe and a rapid-fire energy weapon.

New Zombies Support Weapons — ARC-XD and Hand Cannon

Two new powerful Support options are here to help fend off the undead at the launch of Season Six:

ARC-XD — The Aether Remote-Controlled Explosive Device (ARC-XD) is an advanced Support Weapon fitted with an Aetherium Crystal that acts as a decoy, emitting a sound to draw enemy attention.

Hand Cannon — Originally found as a hidden weapon in the Campaign and introduced to Multiplayer in Season Four, the Hand Cannon joins Zombies as one of Season Six’s Support Weapons.

Multiplayer — Three Mind-Blowing Maps on Day One

Deprogram (6v6, Launch)

During Adler’s interrogation and deprogramming, memories from his convoluted past come to life as a warped combat arena in Deprogram. Here, you’ll pass through Red Doors as the fight rages on throughout Adler’s broken mind.

Amerika (6v6, Launch)

Take the war to a Soviet recreation of an American Main Street in Season Six’s next 6v6 map, Amerika.

Gluboko (2v2 and 3v3, Launch)

Taking place in the underground vault of the KGB headquarters, Gluboko serves as the newest map where Operators can battle in Gunfight and Face Off variants, including Face Off 6v6.

The Lubyanka Building’s underbelly can be home to extremely fast-paced engagements, as fights will spill out around and on top of the main briefing table.

New Operators — Alex Mason and Fuze Join the Fight

NATO and Perseus have saved their strongest reinforcements for the final showdown ahead.

Alex Mason: NATO (Launch)

Alex Mason arrives in the Season Six Battle Pass, and Perseus Operative “Fuze” makes an explosive impact during the season.

Five Weapons

A lever-action Shotgun and a reliable Assault Rifle within the Battle Pass system, in addition to a deadly new melee weapon earned via challenge, all available on day one of Season Six. During the season, expect to earn a unique SMG and a set of dual-wield melee tools.

Free New Weapons — Five New Armaments, Three Available at Launch

.410 Ironhide: Shotgun (Launch)

Lever-action shotgun. High damage at close range with an improved fire rate. Reliable 2-shot kill with a short 1-shot range.

Obtain the .410 Ironhide for free and ready to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 15 of the Season Six Battle Pass.

Grav: Assault Rifle (Launch)

Full-auto assault rifle. Fast firing rifle with improved range. Fastest bullet velocity in class with modest damage and moderate recoil.

Obtain the Grav for free and ready to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone at Tier 31 of the Season Six Battle Pass.

Battle Axe: Melee (Launch)

Two-handed melee weapon. Double bit axe with a straight wooden handle for powerful swings. Fell your foes and use them as kindling.

The Battle Axe can be yours through one of two methods: complete an in-game challenge to obtain the free base weapon, or pick up the unique Weapon Blueprint version of this melee tool through a Store Bundle available at Season Six’s launch.

LAPA: SMG (In-Season)

Full-auto submachine gun. Lightweight prototype with reliable damage and good firing control. Improved handling and range with a slower fire rate.

Get your hands on the prototypical LAPA through The Haunting Event later this season, both as an event reward — similar to the Sai from The Numbers Event— or in a Store Bundle via Weapon Blueprint.

Hammer and Sickle: Melee (In-Season)

Dual wield melee. A powerful union between industrial and agricultural tools. Demonstrate the strength of labor with deadly melee attacks at close-range.

Following The Haunting, prepare to crush your enemies with the might of a Hammer and Sickle.

Earn this dual-wield weapon in Black Ops Cold War or Warzone either through a melee-based challenge or within a new Store Bundle, both to arrive later in Season Six.

Prepare for The Haunting

Ready to battle in a true horror movie nightmare?

Be careful what you wish for. The Haunting, our upcoming Halloween celebration across Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, is coming on October 19.

Return to the Call of Duty blog on October 18 for more intel about this event… if you dare.
