A new Call of Duty Cold War update 1.40 is available to download on PS4, PS5 (v1.039), PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One players. According to the official Cold War 1.40 patch notes, the latest update brings stability fixes and changes. Additionally, today’s COD CW update 1.40 (1.039.000) also addressed some exploits in the game.
Previously, a major Cold War update 1.38 and patch 1.39 added free multiplayer and Zombies content to the game. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing various issues with the game. Today’s Black Ops Cold War version 1.40 will fix a few of these issues.

- Party privacy settings for all users are now set to “Friends Only” by default.
