Activision has officially announced Call of Duty Black Ops 4. Treyarch’s Call of Duty Black Ops 4 will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide on Friday, Oct. 12. However, no details about the campaign, multiplayer, or other modes were revealed as part of this initial announcement. More details for the fourth entry in the Black Ops franchise will be available on May 17.
Recent, leaks have suggested that this year’s Call of Duty would indeed be the next entry in Treyarch’s franchise. Reports in February suggested Black Ops 4 will tone down its sci-fi elements in favor of a “more grounded feeling” as a response to the reception of Infinite Warfare in 2016.
Activision also confirms that they will continue to support Black Ops 3, with a new content update this week.
