Borderlands 4 update 1.003.001 is now available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Borderlands 4 1.003.001 patch notes, the latest update brings tougher weekly challenges with improved loot, shader auto-clearing for smoother PC performance, and major buffs across all Vault Hunters—boosting Action Skills, Passives, and Capstones. Amon and Vex see the largest gains with massive damage scaling, while El Catrín, Rafa, and others also benefit from stronger melee and skill builds. Additionally, Borderlands 4 patch 1.003.001 also includes stability fixes.

Big Encore Boss

  • Rotated to a tougher variant of an existing boss.

  • Loot pool improved with more rewarding drops.

Wildcard Mission

  • Changed mission with guaranteed Legendary drop.

  • Can be farmed repeatedly for ideal rolls.

Black Market Vending Machine

  • Maurice’s vending machine has moved to a new spot.

  • Stock refreshed with unique offerings per player.


Additional Changes

  • Added auto-clearing of stale shaders on version update to prevent PC performance issues.

  • Splash Damage: 9% per point

  • Liquidation Damage: +50%

Previously, a BL4 update 1 added quality of life changes. Unfortunately, many players are still facing issues while playing the game. Today’s BL4 patch 1.003.001 will fix a few of these issues. More fixes are coming with Borderlands 4 update 1.003.002.
