Blue Prince update 1.008 (version 1.008.000) is now available to download on PS5 and PC. According to official Blue Prince 1.008 patch notes, the latest update fixes Step Count UI disappearing on partial cinematic skips issue. Apart from this, Blue Prince patch 1.008 also resolves early skip out-of-bounds bug and restored proper Antechamber lever behavior in monk scenarios.

Step Count UI Bug Fix

Issue Fixed: Step Count UI would disappear if players briefly pressed Escape or Back during a cinematic without skipping it.

Cause: Introduced in the recent “hold to skip” update.

Fix: UI now remains intact unless the cinematic is actually skipped.
Cinematic Skip Out-of-Bounds Fix

Issue Fixed: Players could fall out of bounds if they skipped the cinematic SAFE H ) within ~2.5 seconds of its start.

Fix: Skipping this cinematic is now safe at any point in its playback.
Puzzle Mechanics
Antechamber Lever Sync Fix

Issue Fixed: Antechamber levers could act in reverse during a monk-related event, misleading players into thinking they were non-functional.

Fix: Lever behavior now correctly syncs with player input in this situation.
Recently, the Blue Prince version 1.02 added quality of life changes and fixes. The upcoming Blue Prince update 1.008 will address a few of remaining issues.
