Black Ops 6 Update 1.068 Patch Notes (BO6 update 1.68)

Black Ops 6 update 1.068 is available to download on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official BO6 update 1.68 patch notes, the latest Black Ops 6 Season 02 update introduces new multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, a new Zombies map, new operators, and events. Additionally, BO6 version 1.068.000 also includes Anti-cheat enhancements, Prestige fixes, and weapon balancing improvements.

New Multiplayer Maps

  • Bounty (6v6):Fight atop an Avalon skyscraper, crashing a crime boss’s penthouse party. Chaos ensues as allies turn to enemies.
  • Dealership (6v6):A luxury car dealership hides a black market for weapons and illegal goods. Engage in high-stakes combat.
  • Lifeline (6v6, 2v2):Battle on a burning yacht as Rogue Team attempts to escape by sea.

New Multiplayer Modes

  • Overdrive (Season Launch):A Team Deathmatch variant where teams race to earn stars and unlock powerful Operator abilities.
  • Gun Game (Week 2):Free-for-all mode where players cycle through 20 weapons by eliminating enemies.
  • Valentine’s Day Modes (In-Season):
    • Third Wheel Gunfight:3v3 mode for unorthodox players.
    • Couples Dance Off:2v2 moshpit with Face Off modes like Team Deathmatch and Domination.

New Weapons

  • PPSh-41 (SMG):Fast fire rate, high recoil, moderate handling (Battle Pass).
  • Cypher 091 (Assault Rifle):Slower fire rate, great handling, excellent mobility (Battle Pass).
  • Feng 82 (LMG):Slow fire rate, high damage, great handling (Battle Pass).
  • TR2 (Marksman Rifle):Semi-auto, great fire rate, respectable handling (Event Reward).

New Attachments

  • Crossbow Underbarrel:Explosive bolts for explosive finishes (Battle Pass).
  • AEK-973 Full Auto Mod:Converts the AEK-973 into a full-auto weapon (Event Reward).
  • Tanto .22 SMG Binary Trigger:Fires on trigger pull and release for rapid fire (Event Reward).

New Multiplayer Perks

  • Slipstream (Enforcer):Increases sprint speed but removes Tac Sprint (Event Reward).

New Scorestreak

  • War Machine:Burst-fire grenade launcher with explosive rounds (Event Reward). Also available in Zombies.

New Zombies Map: The Tomb

  • Explore cursed catacombs to secure the Sentinel Artifact and free Samantha Maxis from the Dark Aether.

New Operators

  • Vortex:Master assassin with redacted background (BlackCell, Crimson One, Launch).
  • Nocturne:Lethal bounty hunter (Battle Pass, Crimson One, Launch).
  • The Terminator:Iconic cyborg assassin with Ultra Skins (Bundle, Crimson One, In-Season).

New Events

  • The Terminator Event (Feb 6-20):Earn skulls for rewards by eliminating enemies with explosive or fire damage.
  • Shadow Hunt (Feb 13-20):Complete challenges to join Nocturne.

Global Updates

  • Ricochet Anti-Cheat:Enhanced detection for cheaters, stricter account trust, and kernel-level anti-cheat upgrades.
  • Battle Pass:Over 110 unlockable items, including weapons, attachments, and Operator skins.
  • Progression & Prestige:Fixed bugs and improved Prestige Master visibility.

Challenges

  • Challenge Tracker:Track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges. Near-complete challenges auto-populate.
  • Camo Changes:Special Camos can now be equipped after unlocking 5 Military Camos (down from 9).

Weapon Adjustments

  • Global Changes:Improved Dexterity Perk, reduced bullet penetration, and faster Fast Mag reloads.
  • Specific Weapon Buffs/Nerfs:Adjustments to Assault Rifles, SMGs, Shotguns, LMGs, Marksman Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Pistols, and Launchers.

Zombies Updates

  • New Map:The Tomb.
  • Gameplay Fixes:Addressed issues with spawns, quests, and enemy behavior.
  • New GobbleGums:Dead Drop, Modified Chaos, and Quacknarok added.

Ranked Play

  • Cross-Play Options:Players can choose to match with all platforms or consoles only.
  • Season 02 Weapon Evaluation:PPSh-41 and Cypher 091 unrestricted for one week.
  • Rank Setback:Adjusted to be less punishing for higher ranks.
  • Rewards:Unique camos, calling cards, and blueprints for reaching specific ranks.

Global

  • Addressed an issue causing the “Congratulations, you’ve Mastered Prestige” screen to appear after every match for some Prestige Master players.
  • Fixed an issue that would occasionally occur after Quick-Resuming Black Ops 6, incorrectly displaying all other players as Level 1 with default customization.
  • Players who’ve reached Max Level will now see a reminder that they have a Prestige available after each match.
  • Prestige Master Ribbons will now display in the player details when inspecting a player from the Lobby.
  • Players can now tab between individual Prestiges when viewing an individual Prestige’s rewards via the Prestige screen.
  • The player’s current Prestige Master Ribbon and Icon milestone will now be highlighted by default whenever they enter the Prestige Master screen.

Challenges

  • Fixed an issue where XP would not be rewarded for Armory Challenges before opening the Armory for the first time.
  • Addressed an issue that was not awarding Challenge progress towards Scorestreak Destructions in cases where players didn’t perform the final blow on the destroyed enemy Scorestreak.
  • Players will now earn progress for Camo Challenges that require destroying Scorestreaks even if they do not deal the destroying final blow.

Weapons

  • Addressed an issue where Akimbo Attachments did not properly display Pros and Cons.
  • Fixed an animation pop when using certain muzzle attachments with the GS45 Pistol.
  • Improved weapon motion reduction from the Dexterity perk from 60% to 70%.
  • Weapon raise animations that play on respawn are now fully interruptible.
  • Reduced bullet penetration on all surface types.

Magazine Attachment Changes

  • Improved Fast Mag reload times by 10% on all weapon classes but pistols.
  • Improved Fast Mag I and Fast Mag II reload times by 5% on Pistols.
  • Improved reload times for all LMG magazines with 50 rounds or less by 5%.
  • Improved AS VAL default magazine reload time by 10%.
  • Fixed an issue with Swat 5.56 Fast Mag I to improve reload times as intended.

Melee

  • Removed screen flash from taking frontal bullet damage while holding a melee.

Assault Rifles

  • Improved Goblin Mk2 damage range and flinch caused by this weapon.

SMGs

  • Improved Kompakt 92 + 3-Round Burst Mod damage range and reduced view kick strength.

Shotguns

  • Improved ranges and Sprint to Fire speeds on all Shotguns.
  • Improved Maelstrom fire rate and damage range.

LMGs

  • Improved PU-21 pre-fire delay and Sprint to Fire Speed.

Marksman Rifles

  • Improved DM-10 Gain-Twist Barrel bullet velocity.

Sniper Rifles

  • Improved LW3A1 Frostline and SVD damage range and adjusted damage modifiers.
  • Reduced Quickdraw Rear Grip Aim Down Sight Speed bonus.

Pistols

  • Improved Stryder .22 bullet penetration.

Special Weapons

  • Fixed unintended Sprint to Fire modifications with the magazine attachments on the Sirin 9mm.

Launchers

  • Improved handling and responsiveness for Cigma 2B and HE-1 launchers.

HUD

  • Fixed issues with Field Upgrade “READY” state display and player names beside the speaker icon.

Progression & XP

  • Fixed an issue preventing end-of-game Match Bonus XP payout in Search & Destroy under certain conditions.

Camos & Camo Challenges

  • Players can now equip any unlocked Special Camos to a Weapon as soon as they’ve unlocked any 5 Military Camos for that weapon.

Social & Channels

  • Added a “Favorites Only” Filter to the Friends List.
  • Player mic indicators will now appear when viewing the Party Channel or Game Channel.
  • Improved display of Level or Rank icons in the Friends List.

Multiplayer

  • Fixed various issues with weapon attachments, animations, and bullet penetration.

Previously, a major Modern Warfare 3 patch 1.35 added new weapons, map changes and quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues. Today’s BO6 version 1.68 will address a few of these issues.
