Beat Saber Update 1.40.1 Patch Notes (PS4 ver. 1.97)

Beat Saber update 1.40.1 is available on PS4(1.97), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Beat Saber 1.97 patch notes, the latest update fixes significant issues from v1.40.0, including adaptive SFX balancing, menu lightning audio corruption, and player color scheme errors. Beat Saber update 1.97 also addresses flickering reflections, audio corruption with the “Slower Song” modifier, and various UI bugs.

Beat Saber 1.40.1 Patch Notes – January 29, 2025

  • Fixed: The player is unable to select the ‘Smooth Camera’ toggle in the Settings menu after selecting any Setting twice
  • Fixed: Player can observe flickering in reflections of both the Monstercat head when the visualiser is displayed on the face and small lit visualiser blocks
  • Fixed: Menu lightning audio will corrupt when progressing to a loading screen
  • Fixed: Player color schemes are broken when being saved, it swaps colors around
  • Fixed: Audio corruption will occur when beginning a song with the “Slower Song” modifier enabled in a custom lobby
  • Fixed: Adaptive SFX is NOT triggered on 1.40.0
  • Fixed: Color Menu UI appears behind Color Wheel if player has it open when a new player joins their multiplayer lobby
  • Fixed: The level will continue playing in the background after opening the Universal Menu
  • Fixed: Head Position does not affect Note Spawn Distance

Previously, a major Beat Saber update 1.29 added new 87 One saber levels across 29 songs from previously released OSTs and paid Music Packs. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing various bugs and issues. Today’s Beat Saber patch 1.40.1 will address a few of these issues.
