Battlefield 2042 Update 1.59 Patch Notes (BF2042 8.1)

Battlefield 2042 update 1.59 (patch 8.1) is available to download on PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox consoles. According to the official BF2042 update 1.59 patch notes, the latest update fixes defensive kill stats in Conquest and adds better AI behavior in Battlefield Portal Apart from this, today’s Battlefield 2042 patch 1.59 (version 1.000.062) also includes improvements to vehicle systems like the EBAA Wildcat and UH-60, with the latter now available across all Conquest maps.

BF2042 Update 1.59 Patch Notes – September 6, 2024

General Changes

• Conquest Stat Tab: Corrected to display the proper amount of defensive kills.
• Weapon Mastery Display: Fixed issue where mastery levels of highlighted weapons were not updating correctly on the class screen when deployed.
• Strike Team Mode: “Time spent on Objective” added to the scoreboard for better tracking of team contributions.
• Shutdown Mode Ribbons: Fixed an issue where ribbons were not displayed correctly at the end of rounds.
• Strike Team Equipment Issue: Tentative fix for equipment dropped in-world not being removed in the next round.
• AI Behavior Adjustments:
  • AI soldiers will no longer stop moving when their max health is lowered via Battlefield Portal.
  • AI soldiers will no longer stay in cover indefinitely when health regeneration is disabled.
• Traversal Sprint Option: Fixed issue where player option “Always Use Traversal Sprint” was overriding game modes where the feature is disabled.

Vehicles

EBAA Wildcat

• Active Protection System: Now available for the EBAA Wildcat, enabling dynamic engagements with aircraft.

MV-38 Condor

• Flight Transition Speed: Reduced the transition time between horizontal and vertical flight.
• Breakthrough Mode: MV-38 Condor and Mi-240 Super Hind replaced with the UH-60.

UH-60 Changes

• Systemic Damage: Fixed issues with damage not properly applying to all parts of the UH-60.
• EMP Effects: Fixed improper activation of EMP effects even when not under EMP attack.
• Conquest Availability: UH-60 is now available on all Conquest maps.
• New Utilities (Battlefield 2042 Variant):
  • Repair System added.
  • Cyberwarfare Protection System added.
  • Proximity Scan range increased to 40m.
• First-Person View Tooltips: Fixed missing tooltips when viewing in first-person.

Previously, a major BF2042 update 5.0 added a new map: Reclaimed, new weapons, new gadgets, new battle pass and much more. Unfortunately, since the last BF2042 patch 4.1, players are facing various disconnection and login issues with the game. Today’s Battlefield 2042 version 1.58 will fix a few of these issues.
