A new Avowed update 1.2.4 is available to download on Xbox, Steam and PC. According to the official Avowed patch notes, the latest update fixes quest progression blockers, improves loot placement and store inventories, expands autosave functionality, and enhances controller settings. Additionally, Avowed patch 1.2.4 also includes general stability fixes.

Crashes & Major Issues
- Unkillable characters will now respawn correctly if they die unexpectedly, preventing blocked quest progression.
Quests & Area Design
- Loot piles now appear in the correct locations even if created while the player was far away.
- Fixed conversation drop when speaking with Living Lands leaders in The Siege of Paradis after killing Kostya and destroying Solace Keep.
- Bounty Masters in Dawnshore, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks now allow players to turn in bounties even with excess trophy items.
- Vemas now properly allows players to turn in Debt of Blood, even if spoken to earlier.
- Players will no longer become stuck with no active objectives during An Untimely End.
- Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck in the environment near Dehengen’s Cottage.
- Enemy loot no longer disappears if Ygwulf and the assassins in the Cistern are killed, saved, and reloaded.
- Ambassador Hylgard can no longer drown in The Strangleroot, ensuring his appearance at the Paradis embassy.
- Ancient Soil can now be completed even if Fior mes Iverno becomes inaccessible.

Miscellaneous
- DirectX 11 Launch Disabled
- Launching Avowed with DirectX 11 is now disabled, as the game does not support it.
- Players previously using DirectX 11 as a workaround for crashes or performance issues are advised to update drivers, verify game files, or contact support.
Recently, the Avowed patch 1.2.2 and patch 1.2.3 added quality of life changes. Unfortunately, players still having several issues with the game. Today’s Avowed version 1.2.4 will fix a few of these issues.
