Astro Bot update 1.008 is available to download on PlayStation 5. According to official Astro Bot patch notes, the latest introduces the Helium Heights speedrun level and Nariko from Heavenly Sword as a new collectible bot. Apart from this, Astro Bot version 1.008 (1.008.000) also includes stability fixes. The next speedrun level, Rising Heat, arrives on November 14, 2024, with hints of more bots to come.
Previously, a major Astro Bot patch 1.004 and patch 1.005 added various tweaks and changes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, many players are experiencing several issues when trying to play the game. Today’s Astro Bot patch 1.008 will fix a few of these issues. Read full details here.

New Content
- Helium Heights Speedrun Level
- New level focused on speedrunning, offering challenges for players to complete with optimized times.
- Visuals and design inspired by helium-themed environments, delivering a fresh experience.
- Nariko Bot from Heavenly Sword
- The iconic character Nariko from Heavenly Sword (PS3) is now available as a collectible bot in the Helium Heights level.
- Players can encounter and rescue Nariko during the level’s run.
Upcoming and Planned Content
- Next Level: Rising Heat
- The final announced speedrun level, Rising Heat, is scheduled for release on November 14, 2024.
- Future Bots and Levels
- Additional unannounced bots hinted at in credits may appear in future updates.
- Team Asobi is actively exploring more content, though Final Fantasy characters will not be part of the additions due to licensing restrictions.
