Ark Survival Ascended update 1.088.003 (v88.3) is available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox. According to the official Ark Ascended 1.088.003 patch notes, the latest update introduces Planning Mode with hologram-based construction, template saving, and long-range build planning tools. Burrowbuck received major quality-of-life updates, while Aureliax was toned down with lower health and weaker grab capabilities. Additionally, the latest Ark Ascended patch 1.088.003 also resolves Tek Spear issues, boss fight bugs, cryopod problems, exploits, and crashes.

ARK Update Summary

• Added Planning Mode with hologram structures for build layout planning and tribe collaboration.

New Features

• Added Planning Mode, allowing survivors to design structures before using resources.
• Planning Mode can be activated while placing structures by holding R (X or Square).
• Structures placed in Planning Mode become Hologram Structures and do not consume materials.
• Hologram Structures are visible only to tribe members.
• Enemy tribes cannot see Hologram Structures.
• New structures can be placed directly over holograms and will automatically replace them.
• Hologram Structures can be converted into Templates for saving and repositioning layouts with the Template Hammer.

• Fixed tamed Burrowbucks defaulting to Burrow: Trap instead of Burrow: Hidey Hole.
• Burrowbucks can now harvest carrots.
• Prevented extended HUD burrow icons from displaying while offscreen.
• Trap activation now alerts nearby Burrowbucks instead of only the trap owner.
• Forced aggression now ends when trap effects are removed early.
• Camouflage now causes wild non-boss creatures to lose aggro.
• Added an unofficial server setting to modify or disable tamed burrow decay timers.

Balance Changes

Aureliax

• Reduced Claw Grab pickup radius from 13m to 8m.
• Increased Claw Grab cooldown from under 1 second to 2.5 seconds.
• Reduced base health from 1550 to 1250.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed Tek Spear attack issues when multiple nearby clients had Tek Spears equipped.
• Fixed Tek Spear teleport inconsistencies on low-performance servers.
• Fixed client desync issues when attacking targets on struggling servers.
• Fixed several Zombie movement rubber-banding problems.
• Fixed Thralls becoming stuck during the Lost Colony boss encounter.
• Fixed cryofridge access issues when units were placed closely together in corners.
• Fixed perishable item save timers repeatedly resetting after transfers.
• Fixed dropped items drifting away after teleporting into an area in multiplayer.
• Fixed alignment issues with the Alpha Wyvern Trophy’s left eye.

Previously, a big ASA update 1.083.003 introduced Pyranthos, new bosses, numerous creatures, a weather and lighting overhaul, fresh caves, and major OSD rebalancing.. Unfortunately, since the last major patch, players have been experiencing several issues and error codes. Today’s Ark Ascended version 1.088.003 will fix a few of these errors.
