Respawn has released a new Apex update 2.94 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Apex 2.94 patch notes, the Wild Iron event brings explosive chaos with the Mythic Flatline, eight new Wild Cards, and powerful loot. Legends Ash, Mad Maggie, Seer, and Sparrow receive major balance changes. Ranked play is fairer with entry cost removal, while SDR improves match stability by cutting DoS attacks. Today’s Apex version 2.94 also includes gameplay performance improvements.

ENGINE

- Now uses bindless resources for particle and FX rendering. This reduces CPU usage especially in cases of intense combat with lots of character abilities being triggered.
- PC: fixed an immediate crash when booting the game if the player has an Unknown Display Driver (sometimes the result of uninstalling previous drivers). Note: there may still be other issues with Unknown display drivers.
Previously, Apex Legends update 2.87 added Arenas: Duels, a limited-time 1v1 mode focused on raw gunplay with no abilities until July 15. Unfortunately, since the last Apex patch 2.67, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex patch 2.94 will fix a few of these issues.
