Respawn has released a new Apex Legends update 2.88 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Apex Legends 2.88 patch notes, the latest update brings quality of life changes and tweaks. Today’s Apex Legends version 2.88 also improves gameplay fairness in Arenas, resolves key ability and visual bugs for Wattson and Mirage.

Energized Healer: Fixed a bug where it healed less than intended.

Cloaking Bug: Resolved an issue where Power Sword visual effects were visible during cloak.
Arenas: Duels

Win Conditions Updated: Only kills count for wins.

- Fixed an issue where the total RP displayed incorrectly in the Ranked Match Summary.
Weapons & Optics
- Mythic R-301 attachments will no longer disappear after being respawned.
- Resolved a bug causing some optics to disappear or swap unexpectedly after switching weapons.
Legends
Ash
- Updated dash mechanics to prevent accidental activation when jumping mid-air.
Wattson
- Resolved a visual delay when placing fences, ensuring they appear correctly.
Wraith
- Slow Clap Emote now displays correctly.
Performance & Stability
Match Summary
- Fixed a crash occurring when viewing the Match Summary screen.
Nintendo Switch
- Resolved a crash that occurred when updating video settings during a match.
Xbox Series X/S
- Fixed a crash affecting gameplay stability on Xbox Series X/S consoles.
Other Fixes
- Weapon tuning for L-Star and Rampage to 19 (was 20) & overheats slightly faster
- Weapon tuning for Rampage to 29 (was 30)
- Assault Class scan reduced to 2s (was 4s)
- Mirage’s health bars no longer appear with Assault Class Scan
- Ash’s Upgrades have been shuffled (double ult moved to level 3)

Gameplay & Mechanics
- [Arsenals] Collision extends beyond the visual model, causing unintended interactions.
Legends
- Fuse – Mythic Ordnance skin does not function consistently with Fuse’s passive ability.
UI & Cosmetics
- Founder’s Badge appears as locked in menus but can still be equipped.
- Weapon Mastery & Trackers display different values, leading to inconsistencies in stats tracking.
Previously, Apex Legends update 2.76 added a new Limited-Time Mode (LTM), Knockout, along with 36 event-themed items, including a Mythic melee item. Unfortunately, since the last Apex patch 2.77, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex Legends patch 2.88 will fix a few of these issues.
