Apex Legends Update 2.83 Patch Notes for PS4, PC and Xbox

Respawn has released a new Apex Legends update 2.83 for PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Apex Legends 2.83 patch notes, the latest update brings fixes for survival exploits and adjustments to weapon skins. Today’s Apex Legends version 2.83 also resolves a Ring exploit, updates a Rift Relic challenge, and applies shield damage clutter fixes to consoles.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved a visual issue with the Ice Cold R-301 weapon skin.
  • Fixed a problem where the Ice Beam Charge Rifle skin displayed the wrong model in 3rd person view.

Exploits

  • Fixed an exploit that allowed players to abuse Revive Expert and Heal Expert perks to survive outside the Ring.

Challenge Update

  • The “Equip Hover” Rift Relic Challenge is now updated to “5 Kills With a Rift Relic Weapon” for better clarity.

Console Updates

  • Shield damage visual clutter fix has now been extended to console platforms for consistency.

Previously, Apex Legends update 2.66 added a new Limited-Time Mode (LTM), Knockout, along with 36 event-themed items, including a Mythic melee item. Unfortunately, since the last Apex patch 2.67, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex Legends patch 2.83 will fix a few of these issues.
