Apex Legends version 2.76 is rolling out on PS4, PC, Switch, and Xbox. According to the official Apex Legends 2.76 patch notes, the latest update brings quality of life changes. Apart from this, today’s Apex Legends patch 2.76 also resolves various crashes and adds stability fixes.

Ranked Mode
- Fixed an issue causing RP discrepancies and incorrect rank promotions.
- Restored accounts to their proper ranks, potentially increasing ranks.
- Fixed Ranked distribution display not appearing before matches.
Lobby Communication
- Resolved voice and text chat issues while in a lobby.
Performance & Stability
- General stability fixes for smoother gameplay.
- Improved overall gameplay performance.
- Resolved server crashes and various crashing issues.
Gameplay Fixes
- D.O.C. no longer reveals a cloaked Mirage.
- Fixed VFX not displaying correctly on Reactive Skins after swapping weapons.
- Resolved visual issues in PC lobbies.
- Temporarily removed the Attrition G7 Scout Skin due to a bug.

The following changes were added previously.
New Limited-Time Mode: Knockout
- Knockout Mode: 60-player, 20-squad Battle Royale mode.
- Capture zones and collect EVO to score points.
- Infinite respawns until the final round’s Sudden Death.
- Lowest 5 squads eliminated per round, last squad standing wins.
Space Hunt Event (Sept 17 – Oct 8, 2024)
- Rewards: 36 event-themed cosmetics, including the Mythic melee “Serpent’s Sting.”
- Earn Bounty Bucks through daily challenges to unlock rewards, including Epic skins for Conduit and Valkyrie.
- Reward shop refreshes mid-event (Sept 28, 2024).
- Milestone event items track progress for additional rewards.
Amped Knockout Trials
- Crypto’s Trials (Sept 17 – Oct 15) and Wattson’s Trials (Oct 1 – Oct 15):
- Complete challenges to permanently unlock Crypto and Wattson.
- Complete both trials for an Epic-tier badge reward.
Balance Updates
Gold Weapons Rotation
- New Rotation: Mozambique Akimbo, P2020 Akimbo, EVA-8, VK-47 Flatline, G7 Scout.
Loot Updates
- Loot Bin Reset:
- Added voice lines for clarity during resets.
- Reduced spawn rates for high-value loot.
- Legendary Loot Bins now roll fewer gold items.
- Mythic Loot Bins more likely to include large healing items.
- Loot Ticks:
- Improved loot, removed lower rarity items, increased chances for gold weapons.
Weapons & Loot
- Havoc Rifle: Turbocharger Hop-up removed.
- R-99 SMG: Increased recoil and damage fall-off at long range.
- Ammo: Weapons spawn with one larger ammo brick, simplifying ground loot.
- Hop-ups:
- Turbocharger removed from loot pool.
- Ultimate Accelerant: Rarity increased to Purple, reduced spawn rate.
Legends Adjustments
- Fuse: Max scan radius capped at 450, targeting adjustments for balance.
- Valkyrie: Reclassified as a Recon Legend. Significant jetpack handling improvements, faster tactical missile fire rate, enhanced jetpack UI.
Game Modes & Map Updates
- Duos Mode returns from September 17, 2024, to the end of Shockwave.
- Map Rotations: Multiple map rotations for TDM, Control, Gun Run, and Lockdown across Thunderdome, Skull Town, and Estates.
General Fixes
- Fixed an issue preventing Apex Legends from working on third-gen Intel CPUs (e.g., 3570, 3770).
- Resolved long-standing bug causing server crashes.
- Fixed rare case where players could get crushed when mantling over an open Loot Bin.
- Fixed Legendary Loot Bins spawning too close together.
- Resolved Low Ammo indicators spamming when players were unarmed.
- Fixed Minimap icons for used or empty Perk Loot Bins displaying incorrectly.
- R-99 restored to Care Packages in Mixtape TDM and Big TDM.
- Restored ADS red dot while using the “Celestial Sniper” Longbow skin.
- Fixed Zipline upwards from the second floor of Wattson’s Pylon on Storm Point.
- Teams with all max-level players can no longer interact with Evo Harvesters.
- Reduced likelihood of constant rubberbanding during matches.
Loot Bin Reset
- Fixed rare crash related to opening Mythic Supply Bins after Loot Bin reset.
- Loot Bin Reset warnings while spectating now show at the correct times.
Legend Fixes
- Crypto: Fixed an issue where EMP would occasionally trigger while recalling Hack.
- Mad Maggie: Passive ability will now trigger when hitting gun shields.
- Newcastle: “Swift Shield” upgrade now functions as intended.
- Wattson:
- Emergency Power upgrade now affects teammates and Ultimate Accelerants.
- Fixed issue with health regeneration in Mixtape mode.
Map Fixes (E-District)
- Added assets to aid in climbing certain walls.
- Added two survey beacons to the north side of the map.
- The slope at Electro Dam’s spillway can now be traversed upwards.
- Increased ground loot and Loot Bin count across the map, adding 100 new Loot Bins.
- Reduced high-tier loot spawn at The Lotus.
- Relocated Blossom Drives crafter to the far west side of the map.
- Resolved additional bugs and rat spots.
Graphics & Performance Fixes
- DX12 PC: Made it easier to use stretched resolution via the CVar “mat_letterbox_aspect_min” (set to 1.0).
- Fixed performance issues for quad-core CPUs introduced in the Upheaval mid-season patch.
- Optimized GPU performance for rendering FX like Legend abilities.
Previously, Apex update 2.35 added new features and changes to the game. Recently, Apex version 2.36 was also released with minor tweaks. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex Legends patch 2.76 will fix a few of these issues.
