Apex Legends update 2.73 is available to download on PS4, PC, Switch, and Xbox. According to the official Apex Legends 2.73 patch notes, the latest update brings quality of life changes. Apart from this, today’s Apex Legends version 2.73 also adds performance and stability improvements.

Bug Fixes
- Ice Cold R-301 Skin: Resolved a visual bug affecting its appearance.
- Ice Beam Charge Rifle Skin: Fixed an issue where the incorrect model appeared in 3rd person view.
Exploit Fix
- Revive and Heal Expert Perks: Fixed an exploit that allowed players to survive indefinitely outside the Ring.
Challenge Update
- Rift Relic Challenge: Updated challenge description to “5 Kills With a Rift Relic Weapon” for clarity.
Console Improvements
- Shield Damage Visual Clutter: Applied the previously implemented fix to console platforms.

Exploit Fixes
- Tactical Ability Duplication: Fixed an exploit allowing players to duplicate tactical abilities.
- Heatshield Duplication: Resolved an issue where players could duplicate heatshields.
- Skullpiercer Hop-Up Exploit: Addressed a bug involving unintended behavior with this hop-up.
- Fixed shield damage visual clutter.
New TDM Variant
- Week 1: Only Akimbos and LMGs available in the TDM variant.
- Straight Shot Return: Features a revival twist and Straight Shot Rumble mode.
Straight Shot Revival LTM
- Event Duration: August 20, 2024, to September 3, 2024.
- Unlimited Respawns: Available until the end of Round 3.
- Increased Drop Rate: Akimbo and LMG weapons drop more frequently.
- Gameplay Highlights:
- 30 players, no jumpmasters.
- Spawn above random POIs.
- Enemy Highlights and Health Bars enabled.
Collection Event Items
- Unlockable Content: 24 limited-time cosmetics, including Legendary skins for Octane, Bangalore, and others.
- Heirloom Reward: Unlock all 24 items to receive Bangalore’s “Emerald Edge” Heirloom and “Reveille” finisher.
Reward Track
- Daily Points: Earn up to 1,400 points per day with challenges that refresh daily.
- Challenges: Stack with Battle Pass challenges for efficient completion.
Store Tab
- Limited-Time Offers: Explore exclusive Temporal Chaos event offers in the Store tab.
Bug Fixes
- Input Loss: Fixed a bug causing player input to be lost when tabbing out and back into the game.
- [Xbox] FPS Drops: Resolved frame rate drops when using Bloodhound’s Ultimate ability.
- Tac Teleport: Fixed an issue where Tactical teleport animation occasionally skipped.
- Ballistic Dual-Wield: Addressed an issue where Ballistic could attempt to dual-wield every weapon.
- [Revival] Party Not Ready: Fixed an issue where requeue displays “party not ready.”
Performance Improvements
- Bot Royale: Implemented performance improvements.
- Crashes: Resolved several crashes, including those occurring in the firing range and issues specific to Caustic, Horizon, and Wattson.
- Gameplay: Added general gameplay performance improvements.
Quality-of-Life
- Added various quality-of-life improvements for a better gameplay experience.
Stability
- Implemented multiple stability fixes to enhance overall game performance.

Previously, Apex update 2.35 added new features and changes to the game. Recently, Apex version 2.36 was also released with minor tweaks. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex patch 2.73 will fix a few of these issues.
