Respawn has released a new Apex Legends update 2.16 on PS4, (PS5 version 1.000.030), PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Apex Legends 2.16 patch notes, the latest hotfix addressed game freezing and stuttering issues. Apart from this, today’s Apex Legends version 2.16 also includes stability fixes.
Previously, a major Apex season 15 update added a new Legend (Vantage) and a long list of changes and fixes. Recently, a hotfix update 2.10 was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex version 2.16 will fix a few of these issues. Read more details below.
In other news, Apex Legends and Apex Legends Mobile are nominated for The Game Awards. Apex Legends is featured in two categories – Best Ongoing and Best Community Support. Apex Legends Mobile is nominated for the Best Mobile Game category.
What is fixed in Apex Legends 2.16 Patch Notes?
- Fixed an issue where players getting UI Images error when playing Olympus.
- Fixed an issue where players at certain ranks not receiving the correct ranked rewards for certain seasons.
- Addressed a bug where players that buy Apex Coins don’t get an updated Coin balance until they restart the game.
The following issues were addressed previously.
- Mark All Replicator Zones prompt available in the dropship.
- Seer can use Survey Beacons again.
- Catalyst ability audio has been tweaked to be less noisy for those nearby.
- The camera is now correctly placed for victims of Catalyst’s finishers.
- Seer’s passive heartbeat sensor no longer goes through Catalyst’s ult.
- Onscreen effects now display the correct VFX on Switch.
- Resolved a freeze affecting some players on Broken Moon and other maps.
- Fixed game-freezing issues on some instances.
- Addressed audio related issues.
- Fixed a bug where the game crashes on reconnection.
- Fixed ranked rewards related bugs.
- Added general stability fixes.
- Added performance improvements.
- Other minor bug fixes.
