Apex Legends update 1.000.079 is now rolling out on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Apex 1.000.079 patch notes, the latest update resolves various game crashing issues. Apart from this, today’s Apex version 1.000.079 also improved map object icon behavior.
Previously, Apex Legends update 2.17 added new features and changes to the game. Recently, Apex version 2.18 and Apex version 2.20 was also released with minor tweaks. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Apex patch 1.000.079 will fix a few of these issues.

Bug Fixes
- Addressed an exploit where Skydive Emotes and Holosprays were being used to gain an unfair advantage over other players.
- Implemented additional fixes for an issue where Fuse’s ultimate ability was expanding beyond its intended range.
- Resolved several crashes related to memory issues, use of the Sheila weapon, and Vantage’s passive ability.
- Modified the Survey Beacon scan to scale appropriately with map size, replacing the previous fixed-size scan that did not account for map dimensions.
- Updated the “Revive Squadmates 30 Times” challenge, removing the erroneous NBR tag.
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from opening doors barricaded by a friendly Catalyst.
- Resolved an issue where the Gun Shield visual effect would remain stuck on the screen when aiming down the sights of a Light Machine Gun (LMG).
- Resolved input loss when tabbing in and out of the game.
- Improved map object icon behavior after interactions.
- Fixed challenge completion for Revive Squadmates 30 Times.
- Resolved game crashing bugs.
- Added general performance and stability improvements.
- Other minor adjustments included.
