American Truck Simulator update 1.48 is available on PC (Steam). According to the official American Truck Simulator patch notes, the upcoming update adds new Texas content, custom city intros, stability controls, and UI improvements. Apart from this, ATS patch 1.48 also includes 500 miles of new Texas roads, trailer updates, per-state exploration tracking, and mod structure changes.
Previously, a minor American Truck Simulator update 1.45 was with tweaks and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing issues with the game. Today’s ATS update 1.48 will fix a few of these issues.

ATS Update 1.48 patch notes – July 27, 2023
New Texas DLC Content
- 500 new miles of roads added in Texas, including the ‘High Five’ interchange in Dallas.
- 5 new settlements added – Greenville, Shamrock, Sharman, De Kalb and Paris.
- Addition of Texarkana city on the Texas/Arkansas border.
Cities in the Gallery
- New gallery feature to collect and view all the city intro cutscenes you have unlocked.
Washington Custom City Intros
- Added new custom city intro cutscenes for the cities in the Washington DLC.
Special Transport New Routes
- Two new special transport routes added in Texas and Montana.
Reworked Vehicle Transport Trailers
- Vehicle transport trailers updated with new models.
Per-State Map Exploration
- New UI to track map exploration progress for each state.
Input Wizard UI Overhaul
- Redesigned input wizard UI for selecting controls.
Electronic Stability Controls
- Added Anti-Lock Braking and Traction Control as new gameplay options.
MOD Structure Changes
- Changes to make it easier to create mods that work across multiple DLCs.
