Fortnite update 1.78 for PS4 and Xbox One is now rolling out for players. According to the official Fortnite 1.78 patch notes, the new hotfix has added fixes for issues related to framerate drop, lag, stuttering, crashing, server performance, and more. Apart from this, Fortnite version 1.78 also includes stability and performance improvements. Previously, an update was released with the High Stakes event, weapon balancing, and other gameplay changes. Unfortunately, after the last update, many players are experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game on the consoles. Today’s Fortnite 1.78 update is expected to fix all these issues.
A new content update (v5.40) with a new weapon (Suppressed Assault Rifle), a new event, and other changes will be available later today. According to the Suppressed Assault Rifle description, the new gun is a “silenced weapon that rewards precision aiming.”

LIMITED TIME MODE: THE GETAWAY
Bug Fixes
- Players in the Getaway LTM can no longer land on the van without building.
- Reduced the Victory music at the end of a match.
- Jewel will no longer appear in inventory hotbar after being put in the Down-But-Not-Out state.
- Player models will no longer get stuck under the van after winning a match.
- Player models and items will no longer fall to the ground after winning a match.
- Enforcer Outfit no longer appears distorted to other clients from certain distances.

- This challenge is also repeatable for Event Tickets.
HEROES
- New Mythic Outlander – Field Agent Rio, has been added to the Weekly Horde Challenge.
- Features new Subclass – Rook
- New Perk – Phase Cannon: Phase Shifting empowers the equipped ranged weapon causing the next shot fired to shoot a Phase projectile which pierces enemies and deals 60 base energy damage. Switching or holstering weapons removes the effect.
